[12:55] morning all [12:55] https://goo.gl/jiP8D5 [12:55] morning [12:55] good morning [12:57] this one has a little more information on who will be the guests on the album [12:57] https://goo.gl/kw3Euv [13:03] Good morning [13:04] I'm making a hard pass on that album [13:04] * cmaloney is not a fan of country [13:06] i threw on some bluegrass recently and my daughter says, "you like country?" in surprise. [13:10] cmaloney: it is metal version of country songs :) So really you will be listening to metal [13:10] jrwren: have you listened to Bella Fleck and the Flecktones? [13:10] Bassists is Victor Wooten, pretty good. [13:10] try the song - Sinister Minister [13:11] shakes808: yes. [13:11] shakes808: also, bella fleck is guest player on MANY albums. [13:11] seen them at Bonnaroo and they were pretty good [13:11] Bella is one of the greats. [13:11] His banjo playing is pretty good :) [13:11] yup. [13:12] he tours with Sam Bush and appears on his album, IIRC [13:12] cool [13:13] its possible Bela was the bjano player in Lyle Lovett's large band when I saw them 17yrs ago :) [13:13] haha, nice. [13:13] really great show and NIckel Creek opened for them. That was my introduction to Nickel Creek. Their first album had not been out for very long [13:13] can't go wrong with a little banjo and mandolin :) [13:13] haven't heard of Nickel Creek [13:14] I will check them out [13:14] or well, now that i see their wikipedia page i'm reminded of their albums as children. [13:14] but their first major album hadn't been out long :) [13:14] oh man, you are in for a treat, especially if you like fusion. [13:14] I'm familiar with Bela Fleck [13:15] The first Nickel Creek album is straight up youths playing classic bluegrass, but each album moves a little further from that. [13:15] jrwren: love fusion :) [13:15] He's one of the few bluegrass / banjo artists I can tolerate for an entire album. [13:15] cmaloney: HAHA [13:15] The last album always had me thinking I was listening something in the style of Radiohead, but with bluegrass instruments. I love it, and I don't like radiohead. [13:16] oh sheesh, i should have read their wikipedia page. NOW I find out that one of "their" songs I know is actually a pavement cover. lol [13:17] https://www.dropbox.com/s/s46esj5193z7l34/Screenshot%20from%202017-05-03%2009%3A16%3A54.png?dl=0 <- Bela Fleck albums I have [13:18] Tales From the Accoustic Planet is classic [13:19] Yeah, that's an awesome album [13:21] yeah, that is the one that I have [13:21] what about widespread panic?
