[18:51] Guys? === oscar_ is now known as Guest33617 [19:28] nickolay: You would likely need to ask in the Steam forums or the game's discussion page. [19:28] but you're clearly missing dependencies that the game needs to run. [19:40] ronnic: Well... It's not so good idea, I have a pirate copy of game... [19:40] ronnoc: Well... It's not so good idea, I have a pirate copy of game... [19:41] 10-4 on that [19:41] But thx, I'ff look thru the Steam forum and try to find post with the same problem. [19:41] What's your need today, Nick? [19:42] We all do [19:42] What's your need today? [19:44] I only have about another few minutes, then I will have to differ you through another assistant [19:53] Hello! [19:54] My Kubuntu currently won't boot, and is giving me these error messages: "platform MST0101:00: failed to claim resource 0" and "acpi MSFT0101:00: platform device creation failed: -16". [19:56] Did you try to boot with your prior kernel as are the options? [20:01] Stars43, did you? [20:01] Yes, I tried the other kernels, didn't help. [20:03] Then go into the boot options and turn off acpi [20:03] How do I do that? [20:04] At the bottom of your boot, you will see [20:06] Edit boot parameters [20:07] Nevermind, I fixed it. I'm such an idiot, all I needed to do was run fsck on the root partition. [20:08] You aren't an idiot! [20:08] Thank you 😀 [20:08] Good for you, Stars43! [20:09] We love Linux! === juboxi is now known as jubo2 === oscar_ is now known as Guest34990 [23:13] Can someone help me with a really newb permissions question? [23:14] I have a dir where i have my media prog, sonarr as a user with a group _mediaclients that includes a couple other programs as well as my current admin user that I log into in that same group. I have drwxrwxrwx sonarr:_mediaclients in the parent dir where I am trying to delete folders. [23:15] But I cannot delete the folders, I am being denied [23:15] That sounds like crap [23:16] well im a linux newb [23:16] Lets fix this [23:16] so it probably is [23:17] You have entire directory with folks you don't want access to.. Correct? [23:17] This is my home PC so I am the only user [23:17] I am running Sonarr/Radarr/CouchPotato,etc, whose users are included in _mediaclients group [23:18] Are all of the files under one director?y [23:18] Yes. They are in my torrents folder, which then get moved out and organized in a separate directory, which works fine. [23:18] But I am just unable to delete failed torrents manually as my own admin user [23:19] Do you know ho to move files and or folders? [23:20] yes I do I just tend to gravitate to the GUI file browser since I'm y'know, a newb and like the visuals. [23:20] but I can work in the terminal if need be [23:20] For what you need, I think a terminal is best [23:20] Just ask my wife [23:20] lol [23:21] every time i need to do terminal stuff i can never remember the commands! just need to get better at it. :) [23:21] Are you there? [23:21] Yes I have my terminal up to the folder [23:21] Like I was 20 years ago andam still learning [23:22] I'm so disappointed in myself that i didn't get started with programming/linux sooner in life. I got too comfy in the lazy hammock known as Windows [23:22] Do you find the files? [23:22] yes i can see all the folders [23:22] In the terminal? [23:22] i just have some failed folders and bad torrents taking up space that aren't being auto-removed by Transmission [23:23] yes [23:23] Do you know where you want the files to be? [23:23] in the trash bin [23:23] lol [23:24] My system is setup via the _mediaclients group to auto move those files with a Sonarr/Radarr service. When torrents complete, that all works perfectly. [23:24] You are funny!!!!!!\I even have to refresh myself for this... one moment, please.... [23:25] im just running into that brick wall where the system isn't allowing me as my current user which is in _mediaclients group to delete [23:25] Oh!!! [23:26] the user owner of the group is Sonarr, which is a separate user from the one im currently logged into, which is "redphantom" but redphantom is also placed in _mediaclients [23:26] user owner of the directory in question, i mean [23:26] I thought you wanted it all do never ever be seen again by even the CIA [23:26] well, that too. hehe [23:27] sorry if im not explaining it well [23:27] Do you have permissions? [23:28] drwxrwxrwx 12 sonarr _mediaclients 12288 May 26 19:01 . [23:28] in the parent directory [23:28] Means nothing unless this is You [23:28] my current user is inside of _mediaclients [23:28] so i thought that all users in the group would be given group permissions? is that not possible? [23:29] Are you asking me to help you break into a linux system? [23:29] lmao no this is my home PC [23:30] maybe i just set this up wrong to begin with. i am the admin of this system [23:30] but it seems to work, mostly [23:30] Linuxis a very secure system [23:31] I don't get why all the users in a group for a directory don't all have the same permissions? [23:31] Fella, I wouldn't help you break into another system for $10,000,000.00 [23:32] I'm not breaking into another system... [23:32] If it your computer... just install Kubuntu again [23:33] uhh no i won't be doing that. i am on the system just fine its just i have one directory where all my torrents are going into that I can't delete stuff out of [23:34] Take a few screen shots and show mw here [23:35] http://imgur.com/a/bTP2u [23:36] http://imgur.com/a/F5p88 [23:36] Let me know what I'm seeing [23:37] thats the directory im trying to delete stuff out of [23:37] as a user in group _mediaclients [23:37] the permissions for that dir are drwxrwxrwx 12 sonarr _mediaclients 12288 May 26 19:01 . [23:38] I don't see those permissions [23:39] how could you? i just went into the dir and used ls -ld to get the current permissions [23:39] drwxrwxrwx 12 sonarr _mediaclients 12288 May 26 19:01 . [23:39] PS -ax and sed to me [23:40] PS: command not found [23:41] You don't find a PS command using Kubuntu? [23:42] No I do not [23:42] I am on Zesty too [23:42] 17.04 i believe [23:42] oh its cause i used capital letters [23:42] Type: … ls [23:43] lots of text [23:43] Type … ps [23:44] It sure is, isn't it? [23:44] https://justpaste.it/177aj [23:45] I'm always telling my woman she shows too damned much [23:45] lol i hope this info doesn't open me up [23:45] You are already open [23:46] how so? [23:46] I guess you came here for help [23:47] yes... [23:47] How may I help you? [23:47] why did you just ask me for that information ? [23:48] I am here to help you enjoy Kubuntu Linux. [23:48] well im not enjoying this [23:48] you're creeping me out tbh [23:49] M mom said the same abount me [23:50] Meet me in Bucharest? [23:52] Does anyone have a Kubuntu Concern or question?
