[00:26] I'm having an issue with a .desktop file. In short, I can go to terminal, /usr/bin/my-app <-- this works. But desktop entry with same exec location produces an error 'invalid desktop entry file' [00:27] The program is mnemosyne & I had to upgrade it. So, this is the cause, but I am not sure what I need to correct. [00:28] Launching from terminal, no prob. That's what is tripping me up. & the .desktop file is fine. Copied from my emacs.desktop, replaced necessary stuff [01:53] Hi [01:54] is there any ubuntu chess app i can install to play chess offline ?? [13:41] ok thks, my question is still asking ... :) [13:43] cause most desktops (Gnome,unity,win..) do that for years.. [19:00] yes [19:00] Have you tried it there? :) [19:01] never thought that [19:01] good idea [19:02] i'll look at their documentation more [19:05] https://github.com/lxde/pcmanfm-qt/issues/149 [19:05] qt version but still seems it maybe a feature to stop people opening multiple files [19:06] Only for the Qt version. [19:06] Have you tried it with the GTK version? [19:08] I am using GTK it's the same [19:08] I can get used to it or using the right click menu that works fine [19:08] PCManFM Qt is the Qt port, there's no guarantees that it's all there.
