=== jj-_ is now known as jj- [07:53] Good morning [08:41] <_KaszpiR_> SupaYoshi better update your app [08:41] <_KaszpiR_> 5.4 is ancient [09:01] anyone know how to connect to a kvm with vnc, running on a server without gui from windows? [09:01] Im reading vnc over ssh but not sure [09:02] http://paste.ubuntu.com/24792172/ [10:45] SupaYoshi: yes, a vnc client tunnelling through SSH should work [10:46] if the VM runs a non-graphical OS, you may prefer to add a serial console to that VM, and connect to that via ssh === cpaelzer_ is now known as cpaelzer === baffle_ is now known as baffle [14:32] Is there any plans to update keystone packages to 11.0.1 on xenial? There is a bug that has been fixed in .1 release, that is currenctly a blocker for us to update to ocata. [14:33] coreycb: perhaps some mainteiner can help? [14:40] Tahvok: hi, yes we'll be getting the latest ocata point releases done soon [14:41] coreycb: thank you for your answer! We will wait patiently. [14:46] Tahvok: no problem, we'll track the latest ocata point releases with bug 1696138 [14:46] bug 1696138 in aodh (Ubuntu Zesty) "[SRU] ocata stable releases " [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1696138 [14:52] coreycb: do you cherry pick fixes, or you just take the latest revision? [14:52] I'm mostly interested in the following fix: https://bugs.launchpad.net/keystone/+bug/1662762 [14:52] Launchpad bug 1662762 in OpenStack Identity (keystone) ocata "Authentication for LDAP user fails at MFA rule check" [High,Fix released] [14:52] Currently none of our authentication work under ocata, as we are mostly using ldap for authentication [14:52] Tahvok: if a fix is not in an upstream point release yet, then we can cherry pick it [14:53] It was fixed in 11.0.1 [14:53] Why does bug 1696138 says 'Newton'? [14:53] bug 1696138 in aodh (Ubuntu Zesty) "[SRU] ocata stable releases " [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1696138 [14:54] Tahvok: it doesn't ;) [14:54] Tahvok: just changed that, thanks. just a typo. [14:58] coreycb, Tahvok: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/neutron-fwaas/+bug/1696139 [14:58] Launchpad bug 1696139 in swift (Ubuntu Zesty) "[SRU] ocata stable releases" [Undecided,New] [14:58] June updates for ocata [14:58] just raised that - will start soon on updates [14:59] jamespage: ah ok, marking this other bug as a dup then [14:59] jamespage: zetsy? [14:59] yes [14:59] What about xenial? [14:59] zesty and Ocata UCA for Xenial [14:59] one feeds the other [14:59] Oh, ok [15:00] Tahvok: if you want something sooner [15:00] ppa:openstack-ubuntu-testing/ocata [15:00] has tip of the stable/ocata branch for keystone built in it [15:00] I'll take a note. I can wait for now though :) === god is now known as Guest95682 [15:50] server team meeting today or no? [15:51] teward: yep, in a bit, i think [16:12] nacc: who do i have to bother for access to the trello board [16:13] teward: https://trello.com/b/U9HhWyT0/ubuntu-server-daily this one? [16:13] yup [16:13] teward: I tried with an incognito logged out browser, I could see it [16:14] ahasenack: i mean edit/revise access not 'see it" access [16:14] since it's a public board :p [16:14] teward: ah [16:14] teward: what's your trello handle? [16:15] ahasenack: *apparently* it's thomasward13 but teward AT ubuntu DOT com for an email search if you need it [16:15] teward: I think an email is fine [16:15] ok [16:15] teward: done [16:15] teward: verify please? [16:18] ok, removing the non-13 one [16:18] ahasenack: thanks :) [17:20] Question about Ubuntu 16.04 preceed install: My install is hanging on "The installer has detected the following disks have mounted partitions: /dev/sda - Unmount partitions that are in use?" I'm not seeing anything useful so far online. Has anyone ran into this? [17:24] is it possible that there's a swap partition on that disk? [17:27] hashwagon: if you drop to a shell (tty2 or from the main menu, iirc), can you see if it is actually mounted? [17:33] Ctrl+Alt+F2'd at the begining of the install is there an alternative for lsblk -f? blkid doesn't show mount points [17:38] cat /proc/mounts shows /dev/sda /media and /dev/sdb/cdrom [17:39] * /dev/sdb /cdrom [17:43] Okay I think I finally got it. I'll update here with the line I had to add. [17:57] Adding this to my preceed resolved my issue: d-i preseed/early_command string umount /media [17:57] hi all [17:58] I don't have fdisk available to me in the installer. how do you install this? [17:58] or parted [18:01] robodep: anna install parted-udeb [18:01] thank you! [18:01] or fdisk-udeb [18:14] i decided to give btrfs a try and installed it as root fs. it created a subvolume for /home directory. how do i delete that subvolume? i want /home to be on nfs. i've tried 'btrfs subvolume delete /home' but all i get is ERROR: cannot delete '//home': Invalid argument [18:19] disposable: guessing, don't use the leading / [18:20] sarnold: same error [18:20] i've tried /home, @home and /@home [18:20] but "home" failed? [18:21] sarnold: yes, home and /home return the same thing [18:21] disposable: bummer :/ === MAbeeTT_ is now known as MAbeeTT === god is now known as Guest50751 [22:29] good god what a nightmare [22:30] ok question, i have this piece of equipment that i connect to with via a customized serial cable of some sort. [22:31] the stupid client software to connect to this device runs on windows. It did work with wine for some time..then decided to stop working. [22:32] there has to be a way to telnet to this thing.
