[17:11] <Runferurlife> it just opens for about a half a second and then closes

[17:12] <Runferurlife> It was doing the same thing on a normal Ubuntu install but then read that it comes with MATE boutique so I thought it would run better on this

[17:13] <Runferurlife> and updated the OS and software before any other installs
[17:13] <ouroumov> The boutique is updated through a third party repository, maintained by the Ubuntu MATE team
[17:13] <ouroumov> If it's up to date, it should read "set to retrieve the latest software listings"
