[14:56] Can machines be provisioned persistently, or is it on a usage-needed basis? [14:58] As in, when machines are Allocated or Deployed, is that to a specific user or can MAAS be used to run an application server? [15:04] nan_ a MAAS-deployed machine must be allocated to *some* user but once it's up it's available to the network [15:12] pmatulis: so that user could be "admin" etc.? [15:13] nan_, sure [15:15] pmatulis: awesome, thanks for that clarification. So does MAAS strictly control hardware allocation? Like, can I run an application on top of it as though it's one large machine? [15:15] if you are deploying directly from MAAS (not indirectly via Juju) then that user needs to import public SSH keys if you care about MAAS installing those keys on the deployed machine automatically [15:15] nan_: the main goal of MAAS is to deploy machines [15:15] nan_: you can use juju, chef, puppet, ansible with MAAS as well [15:18] nan_, re hardware allocation, i don't follow. MAAS deploys machines and you do whatever you want with them [15:19] you don't install applications on MAAS itself but on the machines it deploys [15:20] pmatulis: roaksoax: so once I've deployed X number of machines, do the provisioned servers appear as a single mega-machine, or still as X individual servers? [15:21] individual [15:21] nan_, what are you planning? [15:23] pmatulis: my organization runs library software (evergreen-ils.org), and we are looking at new ways to deploy/manage our production cluster [15:24] Individual machines are ideal because we use multiple application servers and DBs [15:26] nan_, sweet [15:28] pmatulis: roaksoax: thank you both for your help [15:28] pmatulis++ [15:28] roaksoax++ [16:10] hi everyone [16:10] anyone seen this error before? [16:10] http://paste.openstack.org/show/613315/ [16:14] /win 16 [16:14] lrensing: that seems like some moduls are not installed ?
