[10:18] discovered: it's a plasma plugin/widget, so doesn't run as a separate app [10:19] BluesKaj, My main problem is the headphone not working from PC's rear panel. Perhaps HDMI sound confusedion [10:19] no, hdmi doesn't affect analog outs [10:20] need to make sure it is enabled in the system tray settings http://i.imgur.com/Z3bKgPO.png [10:20] hdmi is contr4olled by spdif which is difital [10:20] err digital [10:23] discovered, check your system tray settings for vol ctl, auto might not work for it , choose show [10:25] Need to reboot [10:26] hi [10:30] acheronuk, audio control is not listed in system tray [10:32] discovered, system tray>entries [10:33] BluesKaj, For that first i need to install kmix ? [10:33] no [10:34] Missing there too! http://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/original/1498905271.png [10:37] I am trying to fix this sounds (headphone+icon) for last 24 hours [10:39] which' desktop areyou using [10:40] Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS \n \l (Kubuntu) [10:41] well, if you want a vol ctl in the system tray, install kmix [10:45] It is shown as Volume Control. I wanted to see the default one [10:46] they both do the same thing and kmix has more options [10:47] More frustrated problem is headphone not working well. In windows 10(dual boot) it is working(though realtek audio manager is installed) [10:49] have you checked your audio vol ctls in alsamixer as suggested, and install pavucontrol if you use pulseaudio, and set the vol ctl and audio outs there aswell [10:49] I am uploading the screenshot [10:50] BluesKaj, http://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/original/1498906235.png [10:53] So it is muted? I pressed m after nevigating to headphone and increased the volume but same result [10:54] discovered, your headphone, Line are muted and volumes are turned off, also disable automute, that's your ptoblem [10:55] If i change the headphone to unmuted and increase the volume , it does not change any result. I only can noisy sound on my right ear [10:56] BluesKaj, http://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/original/1498906590.png [11:00] discovered, your master vol is too low , the Line vol is still muted, and the automute is still enabled, disable it, look on the far right for these controls [11:03] BluesKaj, Hmm. i have changed those .... Should i save ? [11:04] yes, in the terminal sudo alsactl store [11:06] Then reboot? [11:09] no need to reboot [11:09] try your sound [11:10] Tried and it is same result. [11:10] The rear jack not working with the sound speaker too(in Kubuntu) [11:11] It worked before [11:16] try the line out for headphones === manu is now known as Guest47380 [11:22] I will come back in few minutes [12:14] it did not fix [12:15] discovered: BluesKaj went away...
