nomegoHi, I'm debugging a kernel driver and is trying to make it device core dump, but udevadm monitor shows that it's getting deleted instantly. Any tips? I've tried enabling apport, setting ulimit -c, even overriding the core_pattern to avoid using apport but nothing seems to work. Something fundamental I've missed?07:25
apwnomego, kernel drivers do not produce userspace core dumps07:30
tjaaltonklebers: turns out that pciid patch does not fix the bug after all, test results were confusing :/11:21

dsdhi, just curious if any efforts have started to prepare an official ubuntu 4.12 kernel for artful (which i presume is the plan?)16:08
apwdsd, yes, the are in fact already 4.12 and 4.13 branches in preparation16:23
dsdapw: cool thanks, are they public?16:51
apwdsd, i am sure they are somewhere ... /me defers to sforshee 16:52
dsdapw: thanks, i spotted ubuntu/unstable.git16:54
apwdsd, they may well both be in there, that would be logical16:55
sforsheedsd: they are both in unstable, unstable/master is 4.12. I've pushed tags for 4.13 but haven't actually pushed that to a branch yet.18:03
