[15:42] <Funky_Boris> and the installer is able to write to it
[15:42] <Funky_Boris> however, the install comes to a halt when it tries to install the boot loader
[15:42] <Funky_Boris> for some reason it defaults to trying to install the boot loader to /dev/sda which fails
[15:43] <Funky_Boris> I then get prompted to choose another drive to install the boot loader to, but I am unable to continue from this dialouge box, no matter what I do
[15:44] <Funky_Boris> I am given the option to select a drive, continue without boot loader or to abort the installation
[15:44] <Funky_Boris> none of the above will let me continue
[15:44] <Funky_Boris> any ideas ?

[15:47] <Funky_Boris> but I cannot find the alternate install image that lets me skip the GUI installer and use the text based one
