[01:37] * m0nkey_ tickles diddledan [08:18] morning boys and girls. [08:45] https://pastebin.com/Wfy36UYY anyone recognise that error? [09:05] brobostigon: yep, your USB device/port/hub has a case of the dead. [09:05] I get that intermittently because the hub I use is dead, need to replace it [09:06] other usb devices seem to work, like flash drives etc, [09:07] let me test [09:17] the device wants more power than the others? [09:18] said device is plugged directly into said machine not via a hub, except for the hub built into the machine internally. [09:21] the device in question is my lg g watch, my intention was to test asteroidos on it. [10:30] Following a higlhy successful reinstall (copied over .xxx files), I have two proggies that bog down the system. 1/Libre Office Writer hangs frquently for multi-seconds or blacks out (usually recovers, to hang again), and Golden-Dictionary works at times but at some point will endlesly write to my swap file, which I can watch rising in terms of GBs! - Any ideas fellas, maybe a complete reinstall of those proggies with deletion of any source files or is [10:30] more needed here? [11:06] rebootig - will see if reinatall of goldendict helped but I'd like to understand the issue as well ... [12:04] goldendict reinstalled, needed a reboot for some reason, ... swap file still at 00.0kb (for now) [12:04] fingers crossed... [12:15] it's such a light-weight proggie - can't imagine why it would write 7~8GB of data inside mins/secs [12:16] bitcoin mining? :-P [12:16] just leaving it open for now, will 'work it' if it survies that test [12:16] it loks up dictionaries online [12:16] looks [12:17] or did I have to download the dictionaries?? [16:52] seems goldendict likes to lock-up when being used, machine practically froze for 15 mins, requiring a forced reboot [16:52] could see the HDD light glowng for some time prior [17:17] neat [18:26] howdy all [18:26] \o
