[01:15] 4.12.0-13 -- is it a bad thing that the block device driver throws illegal opcode oopses? [01:28] paste.ubuntu.com/25524681 [01:28] * lamont will file a bug in the morning [02:49] Hi, I have installed the kernel version 4.13.1 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.13.1/ but it has many errors on my notebook. It wouldn't turn off or suspend and dmesg messages like https://pastebin.com/Qu7FEUvH appeared. I rebooted to kernel 4.10.0-33 [02:50] "Rebooted" like pressing the power button because NetworkManager and wpa_supplicant never allowed it to turn off [02:56] I was using the mainline kernels because my notebook has power management problems. It is Skylake but the package C state never goes higher than 3 [02:57] As a consequence, the battery don't last more than 12 hours suspended, while on Windows 10 it don't use even 1% of battery in 12 hours [08:58] hi [08:58] anyone online ? === jdstrand_ is now known as jdstrand === apoz_ is now known as apoz === cachio is now known as cachio_lunch === cachio_lunch is now known as cachio === JanC is now known as Guest39146 === JanC_ is now known as JanC === JanC_ is now known as JanC === leitao_ is now known as leitao [20:40] Hey, kernel team. Thank you for awesome work. I daily drive your work. I came here to ask whether you could consider backporting a patch that'll let me use my graphics card properly, without disabling acceleration with `nomodeset`. This nouveau mailing list thread should explain it: https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/nouveau/2017-August/028730.html . And here is my log: http://paste.ubuntu.com/25529150/ .
