The international Jews are robbing humanity of our inheritance by preventing us from accessing the knowledge from the chambers in the pyramids and the Sphynx which could give us free energy and make a paradise on Earth.06:02

BluesKajJonas, booting off usb ?12:26
IrcsomeBot<Jonas> Download Ubuntu on another computer, copy to USB and then plug in at my PC right? And then? Start like normal?12:59
mparilloSometimes you might have to tell the PC to boot from your USB. So on this HP of mine, I hit escape before the boot sequence.13:02
BluesKajJonas, what method did you use to copy the iso to your usb stick13:02
IrcsomeBot<Jonas> @BluesKaj, Don't know what you mean. I just used a windows PC, downloaded the iso and copy/paste it to the usb-folder.  Maybe cut/paste. I don't know exactly because it is more than 2 years ago. I'm really not a pro with Ubuntu13:06
BluesKajJonas you have to use Rufus on your windows pc to copy an iso to the usb, which makes it bootable, Just copying to a folder won't work13:08
IrcsomeBot<Jonas> K13:08
IrcsomeBot<Jonas> I'll try.13:08
IrcsomeBot<Jonas> Rufus is an separate program,  right?13:09
BluesKajJonas , make sure you format the the usb to fat32 as well13:09
BluesKajyes Rufus is an app for windows13:10

RonaldsMazitisI changed my left crtl key to super key20:15
RonaldsMazitisquassel irc client seems to not understand that20:15
RonaldsMazitisso zoom does not work20:15
RonaldsMazitisevery browser somehow understand super key as new cryl20:15
RonaldsMazitiscrtl *20:15
valorieRonaldsMazitis: how did you change it?20:35
RonaldsMazitisxmodmap -e "remove mod4 = Super_L"20:35
RonaldsMazitisxmodmap -e "add control = Super_L"20:35
valorieah20:37
valoriewell, you need to do that in systemsettings to get the rest of the stack to understand it20:38
valoriexmodmap only works for X-controlled stuff20:38
RonaldsMazitiskde system settings right20:38
RonaldsMazitisI'm on openbox20:38
valorieeasy way to do that is alt+f4 and type keymap or so20:39
valorieerr, global shortcuts20:39
valorieuh20:39
=== EvilClown is now known as EvilClown[away]
RonaldsMazitisI did that, because I think my physical keyboard is broken and pushes crtl itself20:42
RonaldsMazitisalt-f4 is exit app key20:43
RonaldsMazitisI'm not on kde20:43
RonaldsMazitisagain20:43
valoriethere is no such thing as being "on kde"20:44
valorieyou are in a kubuntu channel for starters20:44
valoriewhich is for KDE software on an ubuntu base20:44
RonaldsMazitisI mean window manager or something20:44
valorieso do you have krunner? alt+f4 or alt+space?20:44
RonaldsMazitisnop, I'm using openbox20:45
valorieKDE window manager is kwin20:45
RonaldsMazitisyeah I'm not using that20:45
valorieplasma is the environment20:45
RonaldsMazitismy session is openbox20:45
valorieso just some KDE software20:45
valoriethat's fine20:45
valorieunsure why you are asking in #kubuntu20:45
valoriebut you can still use systemsettings and set global shortcuts I believe20:46
RonaldsMazitisso I should go to just #kde20:46
valoriedoes alt+f4 open krunner for you?20:46
RonaldsMazitisI just looked at those kde system settings could not find remaping keyboard20:46
RonaldsMazitisof course no20:47
valorieglobal shortcuts20:47
valorieif you want to remap, in Qt that is handled by locales, unfortunately20:47
valoriewhich sucks a bit, it's true20:47
valorieif you are not using any KDE software, you might try #quassel20:48
valoriewhich is not KDE software btw20:48
RonaldsMazitisI really don't care that much20:49
RonaldsMazitisit's just bit fancy that crtl differs on kde software20:49
RonaldsMazitisI have kde installed full plasma and all the stuff that comes with it on ubuntu 16.0420:50
RonaldsMazitisbut, my pc , intel i5 processor is too slow for using it20:51
valoriequassel isn't KDE software20:51
valorieRonaldsMazitis: I suggest trying kubuntu sometime rather than installing plasma etc on top of Ubuntu20:52
valoriethat's what we intensively test20:52
RonaldsMazitistried using plain kubuntu back in the day, was slow for me20:53
RonaldsMazitissimillary to gnome 320:53
RonaldsMazitisused unity for long time, stopped using when upgraded from 12.0420:53
valorieback in the day it was slower and more "heavy" it's true20:54
jooztytest20:54
anqxyrquick question. I can go to audio volume thingy in the tray, see a list of applications, and mute or unmute any one of them. I tend to use that a lot. Is there a way to bind a hotkey to "mute current window" or something like that?20:54

acheronuksyd: yes, it would pretty much be. an iso build is created from the archive packages that exist when it is spun21:17
