j0chnHey guys...15:25
j0chnI got a problem regarding file visibility15:25
j0chnI had 2 Partitions on my HDD the first one was about 200GB and the second one about 700GB15:26
j0chnWhen I installed Xubuntu (coming from arch) I deleted the 700GB partition and rezised the 200GB to 900GB.15:26
j0chnI use this partition as my home partition15:27
j0chnNow Xubuntu created a whole new home directory with its folders (e.g. Downloads, movies, music...)15:27
j0chnI cannot acces the files anymore... but the space is still allocated. so I hope that the files are not lost and just not displayed15:29
j0chnDisplaying hidden files and listing files with "ls" via terminal do not list them either15:29
j0chnso how may I acces those files now? I cannot mount the partition into another directory because "home is busy"15:30
j0chnOkay long story short... I'm an idiot....15:31
j0chnI thought my home directy is /home, but I forgot it is /home/user/... the files are located in /home/.... sorry for bothering you15:32
ChEeZeBaLLhey everyone, n00b here. I installed wine and I'm able to run my windows applications just fine in Xubuntu, but I'm wondering if there's a way to make the Thunar file manager display the EXE's custom application icon rather than a generic exe icon16:58
krytarikChEeZeBaLL: It would seem you could just install 'gnome-exe-thumbnailer' and it should work.17:10
ChEeZeBaLLhhmmm.. it seems to already be installed17:13
ChEeZeBaLLI customized my system icons with an icons theme; i wonder if that's interfering..17:14
ChEeZeBaLLalthough a search with the google machine shows a few other people having problems with gnome-exe-thumbnailer and thundar17:15
ChEeZeBaLL*thunar17:15
ChEeZeBaLLhah there's a youtube video about windows exe icons not showing in thunar; their solution is to install nautilus -_-17:37
ChEeZeBaLLthe gnome-exe-thumbnailer github repo says that Tumbler needs to be installed for it to work with Thunar, which I also already have17:40
ChEeZeBaLLsooo.. kinda looks like their Thunar integration is broken17:40
