fjaiohgaeMorning, I just seen that in the the default file browser the zip/tar.gz/7z from context switch is missing the password option on the new version, does anyone has a clue why something basic like this got removed ?12:17
SuperMattI would imagine it was an upstream gnome change, rather than ubuntu12:19
SuperMattchances are it may have been removed to stop novice users zipping something and then being unable to extract it - which would be terrible for a user and user experience12:20
fjaiohgaeit was already a hidden option so I don't know how easy it was do use it wrong12:21
SuperMattYou'd be very surprised how easily people can do something destructive by mistake12:22
brobostigonlike failing to press ctrl+s, and loosing hours worth of work.12:26
fjaiohgaeauto save is nice, but I have my git stash in cron so I don't care really :D12:29
czajkowskialoha anyone coming to the RAT this weekend ?13:15

foobarryi do have 100+ tabs14:10
foobarryhas anyone ever used the motor legal insurance that you typically pay £30 a year for on a policy?14:10
diddledan100 tabs?!14:12
diddledanjeez, people, how do you have the cognition to maintain all that state in your mind?!14:13
diddledan*switch to tab* what was this for? dunno, I'll just leave it in case I remember14:13
diddledanI prefer just closing random stuff and not trying to remember why I left it open.14:14
zmoy-pixii have about 10 open that i access regularly and maybe another 20 of stuff i haven't read yet. when it hits 20 i kill the ones i'm not going to get to14:18
foobarryi have a bunch of github repos open for PR, 10-20 tabs for what i'm curently doing, 10-20 tabs as bookamrks that i don't wanna lose..etc14:27
foobarryi am usually multi tasking on about 5 projecst in a week and need them all to hand14:27
diddledanyou are a browser God to keep sane with all that. props to you for being awesome. I, myself, wouldn't be able to cope :-)14:28
foobarrydifferent working methods i guess14:28
diddledanyeah14:28
foobarryand crap bookmark support in browsers14:28
foobarryi want a recent bookmarks thing really14:29
foobarryi think everything i do involves 10 tabs14:29
diddledanbookmarks are the wrong solution - once you add something you wanna read to bookmarks it gets forgotten about and left to bitrot14:29
diddledanI kinda like the idea of "spaces" where you have groups of tabs that you set aside for later14:30
foobarrygoogle has turned me into someone who googles for the page i had rather than search bookmarks14:31
foobarrybookmark management in general is sucky14:31
foobarryor maybe better history management14:32
