[00:14] KDE-ubuntu: you can install kubuntu-desktop or KDE-full or whatever, but unless you login to the Kubuntu session, you'll still be in Ubuntu Studio [00:15] however, depending on sofware versions, this might result in a bit of a mish-mash of applications and so forth [00:16] and you might have to fiddle to keep lightdm as your bootloader, since Kubuntu provides SDDM [00:16] instead [00:16] lightdm and SDDM is a login manager, not a boot loader [00:16] grub is a boot loader, or lilo [00:17] is it somehow the login manager conected / linked to the boot splash? [00:18] do I need to add ppa in Xenial Xerus 16.04.3 LTS for KDE-meta, or it just fine to search kde plasma and install everything? [00:18] if it breaks..., uhm well, it will break and I will reinstall the os [01:47] hello === hggdh is now known as WieWoWasWozu === mkv is now known as m4v === amr is now known as acqua66_ === naught101_ is now known as naught101 [07:10] Good morning [09:21] IMR3D was removed by: IMR3D [10:34] how to upgrade from kubuntu 16.04 to 17.10 [10:35] You must first upgrade to 16.10, then you can upgrade to 17.04, and then finally you can upgrade to 17.10.
