wxl@tsimonq2: just grabbed latest bionic and uefi thing failed again06:11
wxlomg the uefi issue is old :(15:48
wxlhttps://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/163937415:48
ubot93Launchpad bug 1639374 in lubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) "grub-pc fails to remove, rendering lubuntu uninstallable on EFI machines" [High, Won't Fix]15:48
wxlthat's yakkety15:48
wxlwe never noticed it because cyphermox just killed it15:50
agaidawxl: let's start with cala - and after that let's hide the dead bodies of the people complain about some bugs in the basement ... :P15:51
cyphermoxerr, what?15:51
wxlcyphermox: we just discovered our uefi installations were, well, uninstallable in 17.10 and we've been kicking ourselves as to why we hadn't noticed it15:52
cyphermoxuefi uninstallable in 17.10? o.O?15:53
cyphermoxthat's... special15:53
wxlyeah it was a seed issue15:53
cyphermoxwell, for 17.04 maybe, but it should have been fixed at least late in 17.1015:53
cyphermox?15:53
wxlit's unclear to me if it was "fixed" in 17.04 or not, thus causing you to set the status the way you did15:53
wxlbut it's broken in 17.1015:54
wxland is actually still broken in the current 18.0415:54
wxl@tsimonq2, @VikingRedwolf: you both have a couple cards left on trello. please check if they're still valid or not, move them to phab, and when you're done let me know so we can get rid of the trello altogether15:56
cyphermoxwxl: ok, let's have a look at the seed again then15:57
wxlcyphermox: don't sweat it. it's on tsimonq2's todo list. i JUST noticed it was still failing in 18.04 as i thought we had it fixed before15:57
cyphermoxwell, I'll do a spot check in case, but from a quick glance it looks to me like the seeds and manifests are correct16:00
cyphermoxyeah, nothing jumps out; so I'll let tsimonq2 have a look. if you need help just ping me :)16:02
wxlthanks :)16:02
cyphermoxfwiw, the manifest for lubuntu and ubuntu don't look much different when it comes to grub; so if it's the same bug it's possibly not a seed problem (aside from bad behavior due to no-follow-recommends), more likely some bad interaction between some packages?16:03
wxlright16:03
wxlalways the darn no-follow-recomments -______-16:04
wxlcan we remove that but exclude *specific* recommends?16:04
lubot<tsimonq2> @wxl, What Trello? :)16:17
lubot<tsimonq2> @wxl, Not really...16:17
wxlso you're saying you want me to get rid of your stuff there, @tsimonq2 ?16:17
lubot<tsimonq2> @wxl, What do I have there?16:19
wxl@tsimonq2: dhcpcd, gnome-mpv, and "LXQt" whatever that means?16:20
lubot<tsimonq2> Oh. Delete16:21
wxlthat leaves you @VikingRedwolf and you have two: review and fix screenshots and Mastodon embed for WOrdPress16:23
lubot<VikingRedwolf> wxl, doubts:18:08
lubot<VikingRedwolf> embedding mastodon in wp? like plugins?18:09
wxlyup18:09
lubot<VikingRedwolf> and what screenshots do you mean? the website's about section?18:09
wxli have no idea18:10
wxlit was a card you made apparently18:10
lubot<VikingRedwolf> huh? I didn't do it18:10
lubot<tsimonq2> @wxl, Why?18:11
lubot<tsimonq2> That screams "security hole"18:11
lubot<VikingRedwolf> btw, whenever you can, @tsimonq2, UNBLOCK me on wp18:12
lubot<VikingRedwolf> -____-18:12
lubot<tsimonq2> You did that to yourself18:13
wxlok well i'm getting rid of those cards then, ok @VikingRedwolf?18:13
lubot<VikingRedwolf> yes, it seems that wp didn't like that I used another browser  (quantum) and a VPN18:14
lubot<VikingRedwolf> @wxl, aye18:14
wxli can't remove you from the trello board, @tsimonq2 , so i think you own it18:15
wxlthat said, i've left and removed the wolf so it's all you18:15
wxlphew thank god that's over18:15
wxlnow off to work18:16
lubot<VikingRedwolf> :)18:16
lubot<VikingRedwolf> somebody unblock me!18:16
agaidatsimonq2: you should talk with the canonical repo managers - https://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=pkg-lxqt-devel@lists.alioth.debian.org - there is something completly wrong :P18:22
agaidathe current state of LXQt in bionic is not consistant - or to put it  in simple words: total crap - maybe they should read the release notes, i know you did more than once :D18:26
wxl@VikingRedwolf you know the only way to block yourself is to keep trying to fail18:39
RedWolf[m]It failed the very first time with proper credentials18:48
lubot<tsimonq2> @agaida, Asked19:14
agaidafine20:33
agaidagot your yesterday iso - starts fine with both uefi and legacy on kvm20:33
lubot<VikingRedwolf> Fwd from VikingRedwolf: wxl, what kind of integration would you like with mastodon? I can add a "share" button, and I can add an "autopost", so every blog entry will appear in Mastodon too. Both of them , maybe?20:34
wxlagaida: which one?20:34
agaidabionic-foo20:34
agaidaDownloads/bionic-desktop-amd64.iso20:34
wxl@VikingRedwolf share button? meh, maybe. the autopost sounds neat. i think we weer originally talking about embedding20:34
wxlah you said STARTS, agaida. the issue is in installing.20:34
lubot<tsimonq2> agaida: So the Canonical guy seems stumped too20:35
lubot<VikingRedwolf> @wxl, yup, long time ago :) okies, I'll install things and stuff20:35
agaidana - if an iso start there is no real problem20:35
wxlagaida: not if the appropriate packages to allow for a grub boot aren't there. remember the live system and the system that are installed are not the same20:35
agaidawhy?20:36
wxlbecause they are20:36
agaidathats nuts for a live system - but thats only me :P20:36
wxlregardless of whether or not that's good or bad, if you want to be helpful, go check an install20:36
agaidaok, i'm out20:36
lubot<VikingRedwolf> I have  bad news, wxl. no "social share" button for now21:00
wxlno big deal21:00
lubot<VikingRedwolf> the one we use have a lot of social networks but that, I'd have to add another different button for that purpose only. it's a nope.21:00
lubot<VikingRedwolf> actually I don't think the share icons are useful at all21:01
lubot<VikingRedwolf> but I still can make the blog to auto-post to mastodon21:01
wxlyeah i don't like share icons21:03
lubot<VikingRedwolf> perfect. removing them. anyways, nobody ever clicked on them21:03
lubot<VikingRedwolf> wxl, you have messages on Matrix!21:17
wxl[m]Um no21:22
lubot<VikingRedwolf> or IRC, as you have everything bridged21:23
wxl[m]Ooooo21:28
wxl[m]No pms apparently21:29
wxl[m]Try again21:29
lubot<VikingRedwolf> I can't21:29
lubot<VikingRedwolf> invalid e-mail or user21:29
wxl[m]What are you doing wrong?21:30
lubot<VikingRedwolf> trust me, I'm using your last credentials21:30
lubot<VikingRedwolf> please, send me a plain text with everything (user, password, otp) to my keybase folder21:31
wxlfor masto @VikingRedwolf?21:32
lubot<VikingRedwolf> yes, Lubuntu's, of course21:32
lubot<VikingRedwolf> I'm in a chat with the High Command now21:49
lubot<tsimonq2> O_O21:49
lubot<tsimonq2> What's dat? O_o21:49
lubot<VikingRedwolf> Julien ๐Ÿ˜‚21:50
tsimonq2Ohhhh how's he doing?21:50
wxloooh which chat?21:50
lubot<VikingRedwolf> ๏ฟผhe seems fine. we're debating about the implementation of the new corporate image and other artwork things21:50
lubot<julienlavergne> You speak to much on this chan, I can follow the flow :-p22:10
lubot<tsimonq2> @julienlavergne, Hey! :D22:10
lubot<VikingRedwolf> :)22:10
lubot<VikingRedwolf> the HIGH COMMAND has spoken22:10
wxljeez you should see what the offtopic channels are like, julien22:11
lubot<VikingRedwolf> ok, Julien and I decided to change colours to Barbie Pink22:11
lubot<VikingRedwolf> ยท_____ยท22:11
lubot<tsimonq2> Awwwwwwwww, I wanted them to change to a nice deep purple ๐Ÿ˜ข22:13
lubot<VikingRedwolf> XD22:13
lubot<VikingRedwolf> so yes, @tsimonq2, Julien can make me things easier by preparing TWO boot splashes, for each desktop22:13
lubot<tsimonq2> Ooooooooooooooooooh22:14
lubot<tsimonq2> Ok22:14
lubot<tsimonq2> @julienlavergne So you know what the problem is with the boot splashes for Lubuntu Next?22:15
lubot<tsimonq2> Because I don't ๐Ÿ˜‰22:15
lubot<VikingRedwolf> O____O22:15
lubot<julienlavergne> Problem ? He didn't mention it :-)22:16
lubot<VikingRedwolf> it's a very delicate thing!22:16
lubot<VikingRedwolf> grunt!22:16
lubot<VikingRedwolf> it must look perfect!22:16
lubot<tsimonq2> @julienlavergne, Right now in Lubuntu Next the boot splash is just default Ubuntu22:16
lubot<tsimonq2> Which doesn't make sense because the appropriate packages are pulled in22:16
lubot<VikingRedwolf> we're about to change that ;)22:16
lubot<julienlavergne> Him ... interesting22:17
lubot<tsimonq2> I'm also dealing with a weird half-migrated LXQt transition at the moment22:18
lubot<tsimonq2> Because agaida *ahem* didn't do the deps right in Debian ;P22:18
lubot<tsimonq2> (although I blame myself because I didn't check packages better before syncing)22:18
lubot<julienlavergne> Well if we can't trust Debian, we are doomed :-)22:18
lubot<VikingRedwolf> NEWS! every post in the blog now will be posted on Mastodon as well. you're welcome, wxl22:18
lubot<tsimonq2> @julienlavergne, hehe22:19
agaidaJulienLavergnegi: rigth :D22:19
tsimonq2Although agaida I'm joking, I think it might be Britney :P22:19
lubot<VikingRedwolf> wxl, updated the new Mastodon logo (they did a great job): http://lubuntu.me/support/22:20
lubot<julienlavergne> Sorry guys, I have to go, please don't break too much stuff when I aware :-)22:20
lubot<tsimonq2> @julienlavergne, Ok o/22:20
lubot<VikingRedwolf> XD22:20
lubot<VikingRedwolf> thanks again, @julienlavergne22:20
agaidathere is a problem - normally it would work fine - but one has to migrate the whole thing together22:20
lubot<tsimonq2> > says "don't break too much stuff"22:20
lubotLet's break just enough stuff :P22:20
lubot<VikingRedwolf> yes, I just broke Calamares .___.22:21
lubot<tsimonq2> In YOUR VM ;)22:21
lubot<VikingRedwolf> yes, but I'm uploading it to the branch22:21
lubot<VikingRedwolf> ._____.22:21
lubot<tsimonq2> Also btw @julienlavergne when you get the chance you should register on phab.lubuntu.me :D22:21
lubot<tsimonq2> @VikingRedwolf, You don't have upload access ๐Ÿ˜‰22:22
lubot<VikingRedwolf> oh right22:22
lubot<VikingRedwolf> damn22:22
lubot<tsimonq2> .__.22:22
agaidaVikingRedwolf - nobody need upload rights to mess up lubuntu22:23
agaidajust become debian maintainer22:23
tsimonq2XD22:23
lubot<VikingRedwolf> damn right  :D22:23
tsimonq2Oh, but wait, you need your key signed by actual HOOMANS to do that22:24
agaidaor even better - upstream - they will do the dirty work for you22:24
tsimonq2hehehehehehehehehe22:24
agaida:P22:24
lubot<VikingRedwolf> is phab open yet?22:24
lubot<tsimonq2> @VikingRedwolf, yesd22:25
lubot<VikingRedwolf> cool, I can stop messing with my hosts file22:25
tsimonq2OK22:26
tsimonq2wait22:26
tsimonq2wxl:22:26
tsimonq2wxl: So you need to make the tasks public, not just viewable by all users :P22:26
tsimonq2wxl: (you know, unless it's a private task, in which case keep it that way)22:26
tsimonq2wxl: But I've adjusted the defaults so you don't do it again :P22:26
tsimonq2Let me go adjust all the tasks you've created...22:27
tsimonq2wxl: Also, only the QA Team is public22:27
tsimonq2I'll keep T6 and T7 private, wxl22:29
wxli see no reason why everything shouldn't be public so if you can tweak those defaults that would be great22:49
tsimonq2Already done.22:49
tsimonq2Although I can make good arguments for keeping T6 and T7 private...22:49
wxlnaw22:50
wxlleave them public22:52
wxl@Schyken do you still have the Lubuntu image that you used to test the UEFI install? And let me verify: you did install the whole system, right?23:01
