[08:02] Hello, i have recently installed xubuntu on a machine of mine, connected up the rest of my monitors, but could not set the main display to the one i wanted. I installed some updates to the OS and rebooted and now USB is completely out, my mouse and keyboard are no longer detected. [08:02] I am running version 16.04 64 bit [08:02] 32-bit PC (i386) desktop image [08:02] For almost all PCs. This includes most machines with Intel/AMD/etc type processors and almost all computers that run Microsoft Windows, as well as newer Apple Macintosh systems based on Intel processors. [08:02] the same [08:03] how to choose? [08:03] krytarik, the release is 16.04.3 [08:03] The links are different tho. [08:05] which are the differences? [08:06] 16.04 is the initial release, 16.04.3 is the latest point release. [08:06] http://ftp.uni-kl.de/pub/linux/ubuntu-dvd/xubuntu/releases/16.04/release/xubuntu-16.04.3-desktop-i386.iso [08:06] http://ftp.uni-kl.de/pub/linux/ubuntu-dvd/xubuntu/releases/16.04/release/xubuntu-16.04-desktop-i386.iso [08:06] i don't understand why in the same page there two sections with more than one link [08:06] it seems they are diffrent choices [08:06] For the same reason. [08:07] which reason? [08:44] I have an issue with acpi powerdown and reboot on xubuntu 16.04 with a Dell Inspiron. Other distro on the same machine does not give any problems. Already tried acpi=force and so on in GRUB. Any suggestions? [08:45] Funny thing: I have another Dell Inspiron, same type, but with sempron cpu instead of Athlon X2, and that one is rebooting and shutting down fine. So that might be a pointer...
