PreZeasyHey all!02:56
PreZeasyI'm pretty new to lubuntu, I seem to have an issue where the shutdown stops at 4/5 dots and never completes randomly.  Is there a way to check the system files//figure out what is going on?02:57
GelbHey guys, so I just installed lubuntu on my laptop, its an old HP pavillion dv6t-1200, is there a way to get the wifi card to work? Is there a blanket driver that would cover it?03:42
DarinMillerGelb: I do not run lubuntu, but  assuming it's like other *buntu flavors with old Belkin cards, you might need to run updates using a LAN line.03:45
DarinMillers/Belkin/Broadcom03:53
Gelb_Can anyone explain how the Synaptic Package Manager works?03:53
Gelb_I'm still trying to get drivers for the wifi card03:53
DarinMillerGelb_: Do you know which wifi is installed?03:54
Gelb_No, I've tried looking on HP's website03:54
Gelb_but they don't list the hardware03:54

Gelb_is what's listed for parts replacement on hp's website03:55
Gelb_but that just tells what it is03:56
DarinMilleraccroding to this site, you could have Broadcom, Realtek or Intel: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-dv6-1200-entertainment-notebook-pc-series/3872814/model/394514903:56
DarinMilleropen a terminal in type: sudo lshw > t.txt03:56

DarinMilleruse search to find "Wirelss"04:01
DarinMillerAre you able connect to the internet with a LAN line?04:03

Gelb_sorry, changed the directory to documents so i could figure out where it was sending04:04
DarinMillerI am not familiar with Lubuntu. Do you have a Drivers option in the system settings?04:04
DarinMillerIt might be called Driver manager or something like that.04:05
Gelb_I have Synaptic Package Manager04:05
