I've been googling it, but am not coming up with exactly what I need. I see that I can set req_v3 [21:13] in the openssl.cnf file and then do the subjectAltName bit, but that seems to insert those SANs for every certificate. Is there no way to make it ask me what names it should use for the certificate? does it have to be hard coded in openssl.cnf every time? [21:13] I could change the cnf file each time I do the CSR, but that seems sort of silly [21:13] seems like there has got to be a better way [21:13] a way that I am missing [21:27] hey folks just a heads up: artful dot one is failing for server, as it is for lubuntu alternate (also d-i), both issues with dependencies, albeit different ones [22:23] i was thinking there's no point release installers for non lts releases, change in policy? that'd be good. [22:24] powersj: see wxl's comment above [23:28] can i ask questions about linux on a pi, probably basic stuff as i suck at it. Or is this about developing and support about just that? [23:41] ZeroWalker: this channel is about using ubuntu as a server :) [23:42] so assuming you are using Ubuntu as some sort of server on a Raspberry Pi, this is the right channel [23:44] goodie ty [23:56] New kernel patches seem to work. Bootable, at least.
