=== Nikos is now known as Guest13905 [07:06] Good morning [07:18] Hi, I'm running kdevelop 4.7.3 on Kubuntu 16.04 and I get the following error [07:18] https://pastebin.com/3drBGRjE [07:18] How can I fix it? [07:19] did you Make sure that Kate is installed, KDEDIRS is set properly and that you ran kbuildsycoca4? [07:19] `apt-cache police kate [07:20] ` [07:20] https://apaku.wordpress.com/2009/06/24/setting-up-environment-for-running-kdevelop4/ [07:21] hard to remember how to do this old stuff [07:21] `apt-cache policy kate`* [07:21] Kate is installed [07:21] I'll check the blog [07:22] There is no 4.9 available for 16.04? Thought 4.9 was Plasma 5 based. [07:23] 4.7.3 seems to be the lates [07:23] *latest [07:23] lordievader: I'm just going by the pastebin [07:23] sadly kdevelop lagged behind on stable releases then === eial is now known as daggswork === daggswork is now known as daggs-work [07:23] if it's giving bad error messages, then we're sunk [07:23] Greetings, I have an ubuntu 16.04 lts installation with the kernel hwe install (4.10), how can I verify if it is patched against the new meltdown bug? [07:24] daggs-work: did you update and upgrade today? [07:24] yes, no kernel upgrade found [07:24] daggs-work: there will be a HWE update to 4.13 to provide meltdown fix [07:24] I got one security update in the background today [07:25] but they do roll those out a bit at a time [07:25] acheronuk: so I need to upgrade to 4.13 and it will come later on? [07:25] batteronizer: [1] shows how you can install the lastest kdevelop via an 'AppImage'. [1] https://www.kdevelop.org/download [07:26] daggs-work: the update is currently in -proposed. not finished testing yet I assume [07:26] lordievader: batteronizer is running 16.04 [07:26] still it will be merged only to 4.13? [07:26] probably as an early HWE version upgrade needs a bit more testing [07:27] daggs-work: that is the info so far [07:27] ok [07:27] thanks [07:27] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityTeam/KnowledgeBase/SpectreAndMeltdown [07:27] "The Rolling HWE kernel for Ubuntu 16.04 will go to 4.13 early, instead of also fixing 4.10 HWE kernel." [07:28] valorie: I know, the 5.0 release page said "We also provide an experimental pre-built binary package which should run on any moderately recent linux distribution" [07:28] Hence the appimage might work on 16.04 [07:28] understood, thanks [07:29] lordievader: cool [07:29] kdevelop 5 is laso in backports ppa. version 5.1.x I think [07:30] *also [07:39] The backports ppa was causing problems for me so I removed it [07:39] The problem with Kdevelop seems that I changed KDEDIRS for building something else [07:40] Switching it wold probably fix it === dawid is now known as pracownia === pracownia is now known as dawid [07:50] hej [07:51] hhh [07:51] mazurek to daun [07:51] ostry cienias === pracownia is now known as ostry [07:51] chyba ty kurwa [07:51] zwodnik [07:51] wzwodnik [08:27] siema [08:27] xD [10:27] Hi [10:27] hello [10:28] I just updated my Kubuntu 16.04 with the newest kernel, which leads to a crash on the next boot.
