ubottuPlease don't ask to ask a question, simply ask the question (all on ONE line and in the channel, so that others can read and follow it easily). If anyone knows the answer they will most likely reply. :-) See also !patience03:41
rjCousineauHello.  I've been using Lubuntu 17.04 Zesty on LattePanda hardware (SBC) and it's been stable.  I've since lost that .iso and trying 17.10.1 causes the boot to fail (infinite boot loop).  16.04.1 doesn't find the network adapter, 16.04.3 hangs the system after 10 seconds.  I'm not sure how I can proceed13:25
redwolfrjCousineau, there's a complete list of old ISOs here: https://lubuntu.me/downloads/13:26
redwolfor here: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/releases/13:26
rjCousineauredwolf: 17.04 isn't available.13:26
rjCousineau16.04 fails13:26
redwolfanyways, 17.04 is EOL : https://lubuntu.me/zesty-eol/13:27
rjCousineauIt's the only one that works lol13:28
lubot3<tsimonq2> Did you verify the checksum of the 17.10.1 ISO?13:29
redwolf:|13:29
redwolfit's odd that 17.04 works and 17.10 doesn't. drivers and hardware support is accumulative13:30
rjCousineau17.10.1 enters a boot loop.  I'll install it again and try to capture the cause13:36
redwolfthat's weird13:37
redwolfhave you tried the Alternate (text mode) installer?13:38
redwolfand tsimonq2 is right, every download should be checked: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM#Check_the_CD13:39
rjCousineauredwolf:13:40
rjCousineauredwolf: I'll try the Alternate installer too13:40
redwolf:)13:40
rjCousineauAlternate 17.10.1 reports No network interfaces detected.  The graphical installer doesn't have this issue13:57
lubot3<VikingRedwolf> I'm reading that Panda BIOSes are reported for ignoring some network cards13:58
lubot3<VikingRedwolf> have you had the same problem with other Linuxes?13:58
lubot3<tsimonq2> No, it's known, I had the same issue :/13:58
lubot3<tsimonq2> I knew I was forgetting something last night!13:58
rjCousineauredwolf: I installed 17.10.1 again and I had a filesystem cache error.. I tried a new USB stick and re-flashed the image and installed it, everything worked! Must have been a bad memory stick.16:32
Thedarkb-X40How do I make it so that LXDE doesn't start with the lubuntu profile?17:05
Thedarkb-X40I prefer the standard look.17:06
