=== FrankF1 is now known as FrankF [03:40] can anyone help me [03:41] !ask [03:41] Please don't ask to ask a question, simply ask the question (all on ONE line and in the channel, so that others can read and follow it easily). If anyone knows the answer they will most likely reply. :-) See also !patience [13:25] Hello. I've been using Lubuntu 17.04 Zesty on LattePanda hardware (SBC) and it's been stable. I've since lost that .iso and trying 17.10.1 causes the boot to fail (infinite boot loop). 16.04.1 doesn't find the network adapter, 16.04.3 hangs the system after 10 seconds. I'm not sure how I can proceed [13:26] rjCousineau, there's a complete list of old ISOs here: https://lubuntu.me/downloads/ [13:26] or here: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/releases/ [13:26] redwolf: 17.04 isn't available. [13:26] 16.04 fails [13:27] anyways, 17.04 is EOL : https://lubuntu.me/zesty-eol/ [13:28] It's the only one that works lol [13:29] Did you verify the checksum of the 17.10.1 ISO? [13:29] :| [13:30] it's odd that 17.04 works and 17.10 doesn't. drivers and hardware support is accumulative [13:36] 17.10.1 enters a boot loop. I'll install it again and try to capture the cause [13:37] that's weird [13:38] have you tried the Alternate (text mode) installer? [13:39] and tsimonq2 is right, every download should be checked: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM#Check_the_CD [13:40] redwolf: [13:40] redwolf: I'll try the Alternate installer too [13:40] :) [13:57] Alternate 17.10.1 reports No network interfaces detected. The graphical installer doesn't have this issue [13:58] I'm reading that Panda BIOSes are reported for ignoring some network cards [13:58] have you had the same problem with other Linuxes? [13:58] No, it's known, I had the same issue :/ [13:58] I knew I was forgetting something last night! [16:32] redwolf: I installed 17.10.1 again and I had a filesystem cache error.. I tried a new USB stick and re-flashed the image and installed it, everything worked! Must have been a bad memory stick. [17:05] How do I make it so that LXDE doesn't start with the lubuntu profile? [17:06] I prefer the standard look.
