tsimonq2Grr, this is the second time this week (either to the archive or to a PPA) that LP's eaten my packages!00:30
tsimonq2Is there a nonzero amount of time that packages could get devoured, or is it just on a slow cron?00:31
wgrantIt's on a minutely cron.00:31
wgrantWhich package?00:31
tsimonq2This time, it's plasma-workspace to ppa:tsimonq2/security-builds.00:32
tsimonq2Here's the stanza from ~/.dput.cf: https://paste.ubuntu.com/=tnrWBBK3pb/00:32
wgrantHow did you invoke dput, and what was the .changes filename?00:33
wgrant2018-02-08 20:41:17 DEBUG   The source plasma-workspace - 4:5.10.5-0ubuntu1.1 is already accepted in ubuntu/artful and you cannot upload the same version within the same distribution. You have to modify the source version and re-upload.00:34
wgrant2018-02-08 20:41:17 DEBUG   Sent a mail:00:34
wgrant2018-02-08 20:41:17 DEBUG     Subject: [~tsimonq2/ubuntu/security-builds/artful] plasma-workspace 4:5.10.5-0ubuntu1.1 (Rejected)00:34
tsimonq2I received no such email.00:34
tsimonq2https://paste.ubuntu.com/=gkQJ2zH6Jj/00:35
tsimonq2Not in Spam...00:36
tsimonq2I can't send email to @ubuntu.com. Shoot.00:37
tsimonq2Or... I can, because I just got that rejection email. :)00:37
tsimonq2Either way wgrant, how long does the deletion cron run? I did delete the previous iteration from the PPA.00:37
wgranttsimonq2: You can't reuse a version number even after deletion.00:38
tsimonq2wgrant: Argh. :/00:38
wgranttsimonq2: Version numbers are cheap!00:39
tsimonq2wgrant: Can I upload to a different PPA then copy over? :P00:39
wgranttsimonq2: No00:39
tsimonq2wgrant: How long does the PPA deletion cron run? :P00:40
tsimonq2s/long/often/00:40
wgranttsimonq2: Why?00:40
wgrantOh, you mean to delete the PPA itself?00:40
wgrantPlease don't do that.00:40
tsimonq2Yeah00:40
wgrantChange the version number. Version numbers are cheap.00:40
tsimonq2Fine. :/00:41
tsimonq2Thanks.00:41

cjwatson(happened overnight for me, but it looks like more builders are back)09:24
ricotzcjwatson, hi, would you mind taking a look at https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/66419209:27
cjwatsonricotz: done09:28
ricotzcjwatson, thanks, although it doesn't seems to be done yet09:31
cjwatsonuh, looked done to me09:32
cjwatsonyep, sure does09:32
ricotz5-3 does now, 6-0 not yet09:32
cjwatsonit is very definitely done09:33
cjwatsonmaybe we have some DB replication lag09:33
ricotzok, looks like I am seeing some cache here09:33
ricotzthanks, I will wait a bit :)09:34
ritul@cjwatson: i am trying to upload kernel debian package for i386 and amd64, amd64 is successful but i386 fails. Here is the upload log : https://launchpad.net/~rjasuja/+archive/ubuntu/temp-ppa/+build/14341494.10:09
ritulAny suggestions ?10:09
cjwatsonritul: Your i386 build log shows it building amd64 binary packages ... don't do that10:19
cjwatsonNot sure how you managed that10:19
cjwatsonI'm afraid I'm not downloading a 142M tarball to investigate, but hopefully you have an obvious bit of hardcoding somewhere10:21
ritulCan you help me how to start on with debugging this ? i don't have any pointers as of now after looking at changelog.10:38
rituli changed control file to support `Architeture : amd64 i386`10:39
cjwatsonritul: Sorry, kernel packaging is its own pretty special thing and I have little experience with it.  But something under debian/ must be actively trying to emit only amd64 (it would have to actually put work into making this mistake), so hopefully grep will find it.11:19
