[03:50] tsimonq2: The primary archive generally publishes every 10-60 minutes. PPAs every 5-15 [03:51] wgrant: Thanks. [10:12] hello, could someone take a look at the builders, a lot of them are in "Cleaning" and the working ones having a hard with long-lasting tasks [10:36] ricotz: autostabbing [10:37] cjwatson, this means? is it worth reporting such a state here? [10:38] ricotz: it means I'm doing a bulk reset rather than any detailed investigation of what happened (because I'm doing more childcare than usual today). and yes, it's reasonable to report here [10:38] cjwatson, alright, thanks for taking care :) [10:53] Seems to have recovered well enough, anyway. [12:46] cjwatson, looks like it is going into "Cleaning" again [12:46] resetting again then [12:50] Hi guys. Some of our builds have a msg "canceled build" (https://code.launchpad.net/~oisf/+archive/ubuntu/suricata-daily-allarch/+recipebuild/1513387) - but i can seem to find what is the reason. Any pointer is much appreciated! Thanks! [13:03] pevma: Those seem to be quite old (created on 2018-01-05). I don't immediately see the reason, but it's possible they were cancelled manually while we were mitigating the effects of the Spectre attack on our build farm. Is there some reason to be concerned about those oldish builds now? [13:05] thanks for the fast reply cjwatson - [13:05] oh no not at all - they can be canceled I just wasn't sure of the reason. I also did try to manual request a build - just 5-10min ago and that showed as canceled as well - however i can see it is building in here - https://code.launchpad.net/~oisf/+archive/ubuntu/suricata-daily-allarch/+packages [13:06] so i wasnt sure if i am doing something wrong [13:06] pevma: Oh, right, is the problem that the cancelled builds show up on the main recipe page and stick at the top? [13:06] pevma: That's basically the same as https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bug/746140 [13:06] Ubuntu bug 746140 in Launchpad itself "Recipe superseded source builds get stuck at top of recent builds list forever" [High,Triaged] [13:07] I guess I should port over the fix I did for some other build types [13:08] oh it could be yes - i think that is the issue...while actually they are being build [13:08] Yeah, it's just a confusing illusion. [13:08] Doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong. [13:09] should i try to remove the canceled builds somehow -not sure if there is a way to do that? (so they dont stay on the page) [13:10] pevma: You can't, and no. [13:10] pevma: We just need to fix the bug. [13:11] aha ok [13:11] understood [13:11] I'll try to move that up my list a bit. [13:11] ok thanks cjwatson - much appreciated! [13:30] cjwatson, could you restart https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/1:6.0.1-0ubuntu1/+build/14345799 [13:46] ricotz: You can do that yourself. Cancel and retry. [13:46] (once the cancel finishes) [13:50] cjwatson, sorry, I should ask in #ubuntu-desktop [13:54] cjwatson, looks like the builders are doing like one build and then go back to cleaning indefinitely [13:55] at least many of them do [13:58] ricotz: Have to go to a medical appointment, can't look for a while. [13:59] I imagine neutron/openvswitch is being its usual reliable self. [14:45] cjwatson: https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-66348 [14:45] but LP gives "Launchpad does not recognize the bug tracker at this URL." [15:02] acheronuk: file a bug please, that isn't the sort of thing I can deal with on the spot [15:04] cjwatson: ok. === signed8bit is now known as signed8bit_Zzz === newell is now known as Guest25364 === signed8bit_Zzz is now known as signed8bit [18:09] cjwatson, might be good to kick those builders again === signed8bit is now known as signed8bit_Zzz [20:30] could someone please take a look a the "cleaning" builders again === signed8bit_Zzz is now known as signed8bit [20:38] ricotz: done === signed8bit is now known as signed8bit_Zzz === signed8bit_Zzz is now known as signed8bit [22:25] cjwatson: Hey, I'm having trouble figuring out how (or if!)
