I installed xubuntu in a virtual machine (arch host) and need to install the guest drivers etc. But the software center keeps the dpkg locked down so I can't use apt-get. And when I finally can point my studdering mouse to install the updates in software center it tells me that it is installing the updates. But then it just flickers a bit and
