I am running Lubuntu 16.04 and recently tried opening Audacious; it worked well [kind of...], until this week when the sound coming out of it became very choppy; I already removed and reinstalled Audacious [no luck]; tried the same audio files on other media players available and the result is the same; I have the system up to date.
