| Suudy | It appears the retpoline patch in 3.13.0-143 prevents third party modules from being inserted. I have a old (Clearcase) module that I have to compile on every kernel update. But gcc-4.8.5 doesn't generate the retpoline code. And the "noretpoline" command line option doesn't apepar to be in place. And word on when this might be in place? (I don't expect a backport of gcc-4.8.5 to have retpoline support). | 18:51 |
