slidinghornOut of curiosity, is there anything holding US back from using Cadence & Carla?00:55
ErichEickmeyersakrecoer: Good to see you on here for that short amount of time I was getting my son from school. XD01:06
ErichEickmeyersakrecoer: Along the lines of what I just read, are you going to have time to do the release or should I get a crash course in release management?01:08
ErichEickmeyerOvenWerks: Anything we should know about bug 1761887?01:58
ubottubug 1761887 in qjackctl (Ubuntu) "indicator dropdown menu requires two clicks to operate." [Undecided,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/176188701:58
ErichEickmeyerslidinghorn: Is there any chance you'd be interested in doing documentation, fixing the wiki, etc.?02:16
slidinghornSure - just let me know what to fix :)02:19
ErichEickmeyerCool. Really, the stuff Holstein was mentioning (update, don't delete), and just a lot of clean-up and updating. Specifically for that page, I know we need to get rid of the part about adding the KXStudio repo and just link to the instructions on the KXStudio website, or get rid of that section altogether.02:23
slidinghornbtw I responded to Set's email on the list confirming that it was me signing up on the web team - I haven't seen my email come through though02:30
ErichEickmeyerslidinghorn: Cool. I just checked and it looks like you're on there. You should be able to go to ubuntustudio.org/wp_admin and log-in using your Ubuntu account.02:37
slidinghornErichEickmeyer: still shows pending02:42
ErichEickmeyerHuh. Could be that sakrecoer just hasn't pushed the button yet/seen the email reply.02:42
krytarikGive the poor dudes like us in Europe some rest.. :P02:50
ErichEickmeyerkrytarik: Why? ;)03:01
krytarikSome might be following a more usual day schedule.. :P03:01
ErichEickmeyerYeah, I was kidding. I totally get the need for rest. As someone with a likely sleep disorder, I wholeheartedly endorse sleep.03:02
krytarikI mean for quite a while now, I myself didn't follow that at all, then a few days ago it suddenly jumped to be better, then in the other direction, and right now it's slipping in the opposite again. :P03:05
krytarikAlso, regardless of this, the mail by now was sent just a bit more like an hour ago.03:06
krytarikPersonally, even thinking of mail, I wouldn't expect nearly immediate response and action.03:08
ErichEickmeyerkrytarik: Well, of course not.03:18
ErichEickmeyerGet some sleep. :)03:20
krytarikYes, in fact I wanted to be sleeping for like 3 hours now already. :P03:23
eylul*quickly catches up to the log and heads to sleep*03:27
krytarikUgh, same for you then.. :D03:28
eylul:)03:28
eylulreally through. read you guys tomorrow. :)03:28
krytarik"tomorrow" ;D03:29
krytarikBut yeah, I prefer to use the term nevertheless then too. :P03:30
krytarikBtw, all of you newcomers, we got an -offtopic channel too. :)03:31
ErichEickmeyerkrytarik: I think I knew that at one point. Well, I'm there now. :)03:34

tarzeaunot sure, but did i ever ask you guys to add: schismtracker, protracker, milkytracker, goattracker, and grafx2?05:45
tarzeaui also have a package of hivelytracker, but it's not in debian/ubuntu yet...05:45
tarzeauthe name studio is irritating, it's not just for audio creatives, right?05:45
tarzeauif so, maybe also add: fonts-league-spartan and fonts-blankenburg, fonts-comfortaa, fonts-opendin05:46

OvenWerkstarzeau: Studio was never meant to be every possible artistic tool available under the sun.15:49
OvenWerkstarzeau: painters, film makes and other work in "Studios" too.15:50
OvenWerkstarzeau: if you wish to see X software included in Studio, can you tell us what it does and what workflow it fills that is not already filled or why it is better than the software included that already supports that workflow. That is make a case for its inclusion that goes beyond "you should".15:52
SlidingHornso something broke in the past 2 days or so :/  My keyboard no longer responds/is detected, and XFCE doesn't finish loading...no panel, etc.22:13
SlidingHornI can get my keyboard to respond if I load the regular (not the low-latency) kernel...XFCE panel still doesn't load though...22:19
ErichEickmeyerOh wow. Bionic or Artful?22:55
ErichEickmeyerAnd can you boot from a live ISO?22:55
SlidingHornbionic...suddenly there were 140 updates, and I'm rebooting now to see if something in there was the fix22:56
ErichEickmeyerHopefully, otherwise it's stop the presses. I wonder if the Xubuntu guys are on top of it if it's Xfce related.22:57
SlidingHornpanel still isn't loading...I don't see anything obvious in my Xorg or syslog files22:58
ErichEickmeyerYikes.22:59
ErichEickmeyerTry a live ISO. If your config got corrupted this could happen. Also, I've noticed that symptom in Virtualbox, but passed it off as VBox being buggy.22:59
ErichEickmeyerLive ISOs boot on my bare metal just fine.23:00
SlidingHornI'll download a new one23:00
SlidingHornshould I just grab the beta2 or is there a daily somewhere I should get?23:01
SlidingHorngrabbing the daily.  Now that I think about it though, I had to use a different keyboard to install, because the installer didn't recognize mine for some reason (it's a Corsair K95 RGB)23:10
ErichEickmeyerI'd get the daily, since it has a problem with the installer fixed.23:11
ErichEickmeyerDoes your keyboard take some kindof weird driver?23:11
SlidingHornIt worked after installation, but the installer itself wouldn't power it23:12
ErichEickmeyerStrange.23:12
SlidingHornI did end up downloading a 3rd party driver for it though in order to get the RGB stuff working (ckb-next - https://github.com/ckb-next/ckb-next/ )23:13
SlidingHornI can boot into a live ISO and the panel loads...23:33
ErichEickmeyerSweet. So, probably a config issue with the panel in your install.23:52
