[20:26] <Pwnna> specifically i have a go binary package that i want to build that depends on go 1.8+ and i would like to backport it into xenial, which is stuck on go1.6
[20:27] <Pwnna> i can only build the package on bionic
[20:27] <Pwnna> on launchpad i can copy the package to xenial
[20:27] <Pwnna> but is there a general way to backport?
[20:28] <Pwnna> now specifically i want to build the package "correctly", via debhelper and what not
