BaKKaRhello dears17:15
BaKKaRCan i know from CLI if the bluetooth s working fine, as the GUI says the Bluetooth is ON, but i think it is not as i does not appear in my Phone's list and it is not detecting any bluetooth device17:15
BaKKaRi am using 18.4 LTS17:15
dabbahi BaKKaR.  I don't use bluetooth on my laptop much (but it was working when I last played with it in my 18.04 budgie install).  I believe the command: hcitool dev should output the bluetooth device status17:28
dabbacommand: hcitool dev17:28
BaKKaRdabba, the list is empty17:31
BaKKaRi.e. Devices:17:31
dabbawell that sounds like a problem.  perhaps you need some third-party drivers?17:33
dabbadid the bluetooth work on this device in other ubuntu versions?17:33
BaKKaRi have not tried to be honest17:34
BaKKaRi am going to try VBox17:34
BaKKaRor i will try Live Session17:35
dabbawell vbox won't access it, if the host OS doesn't have it working17:38
dabbaBaKKaR, did you check to see if any additional drivers are available in the software & updates tool?17:43
BaKKaRdabba, no other drivers are available to install17:51
dabbado you see anything in dmesg that looks like bluetooth failing to initialize or anything like that?17:52
BaKKaRonly Nvidia and installed already17:53
BaKKaRdabba, where do i get that please?17:53
dabbaI'd be interested to see if a plain jane ubuntu 18.04 live usb will work with the bluetooth17:53
BaKKaRdabba, yeah me too, i will try this later on today to see if it is Budgie only17:53
BaKKaRand if so i may submit a Bug report17:53
BaKKaRthat would be a second bug i noticed17:54
BaKKaRsome users are bugged with issues after the Suspending their systems17:54
dabbato check dmesg you just type it into a terminal and page through the output.  you could grep for something to lessen what you look through, but I'm not certain of a good search term17:54
dabbadmesg should show you device related messages, so when the system tried the device (if it did) it should be shown there17:55
BaKKaRthis might be the reason "[   12.318949] Bluetooth: hci0: don't support firmware rome 0x3101000017:55
BaKKaR"17:55
dabbayeah that looks like a good lead17:55
BaKKaRthis also the same msg I get after Wake-up from Suspend17:57
BaKKaRI g2g now17:57
BaKKaRi will ctch up later ..17:57
BaKKaRthank you dabba17:57
dabbaBaKKaR,17:57

BaKKaRuhaaaa17:58
