[00:59] Pinkerton: i ran into issues with wine. export FREETYPE_PROPERTIES="truetype:interpreter-version=35" before running the app from terminal fixed it [01:00] not sure if it's the same thing or not... [02:26] hi [03:13] hey [03:15] ey [03:16] 'sup [03:16] how r u Menzador [03:16] FUN FACT: I'm the owner of the Ubuntu MATE page on FB [03:16] fine [03:16] u? [06:50] halo [07:26] Hello [07:45] ssssss [08:00] aaaa [09:57] The panel window list shows some programs from other than the current workspace even though I have "show windows from current workspace" selected. These programs are also bold/highlighted. Can I change so these only show on their own workspaces? [10:17] OxOO: please select the 2nd option with amount *1* [12:22] gnugr: I don't understand. mate version 1.16.2, debian stable. maybe it's too outdated to have that option? can't see anywhere to enter an amount [12:39] OxOO: right click on workspaces -> settings -> switcher and select it [12:40] * gnugr wonders how did you select the 1st option [12:46] OxOO: if you are with d/stable, add backports line in sources.list and get the 1.18 version [13:26] oh I am not talking about the workspace shifter but the window list gnugr [14:24] OxOO: please could you share with us where did you select "show windows from current workspace" [14:27] on the panel, right clicking the "window list", choose "preferences", that opens "Windows List Preferences". There under "Window List Content" I can choose between "Show windows from current workspace" or "Show windows from all workspaces" [14:29] and... the problem is that this seems to work "mostly", but some windows do show in the window list on all workspaces when they are shown in bold font, which I guess is some kind of highlight state [14:30] OxOO: where is the 'window list'? [14:33] gnugr: it's an item you can add to a panel [14:34] thanks for trying to help, but I should again say that I use debian stable and not ubuntu... but since they aren't replying in #mate I thought I'd ask here. Hope it's not a problem [14:36] glorgle === stephen_ is now known as Guest88950 [14:36] What is it that people talk about in here? [14:37] Guest88950: where dod you think you enter in? [14:38] so you know [14:38] and if you have a question, just ask [14:38] Well I guess I'll just say that this is the best flavor of Ubuntu and I am glad to see so many people in one place who use it. [14:38] No questions. I was just curious to see how many people were on here and what they were talking about [14:39] Thank you, gnugr [14:39] MATE is one of the best DEs [14:39] simple to use for everyone [14:40] yes and elegant [14:40] works well on even my crappy 7-year-old Dell Latitude [14:40] haha [14:47] OxOO: we are talkin for the same thing, which you can do it without to add an extra item, just right click on workspaces, that is what i meant [14:56] hi [15:08] gnugr: right clicking the "workspace switcher" for its preferences, I can select "show only the current workspace" or "show all workspaces in X rows". Neither has any effect on the problem I described. It does however change the appearance of the workspace switcher
