| jalt | Answering my own question: thunar-archive-plugin will ask the user to choose the backend for creating a new archive, if and only if, two or more MIME types of the following basket are currently registered to two or more different (supported) backend applications: application/x-compressed-tar,application/x-tar,application/x-zip,application/zip. Sadly engrampa and file roller seem to register them to themselves once run, so there is no simple workaround. | 22:35 |
