[09:20] <caribou> There is a dependency issue b/w  kdump-tools (in -updates) and kexec-tools (-proposed) which makes the installation of the linux-crashdump meta-package to fail

[10:37] <sil2100> The binary-dependencies seem to be in place since otherwise the package would install correctly, it's just that the new dependency is not intentional and has been missed
[10:38] <sil2100> We need to get the kexec-tools package tested and released I guess
[10:38] <sil2100> But maybe there's some better way?

[16:06] <ddstreet> sil2100 rbalint lp #1774120 is your preference to remove the changes to the ebtables.init script, and restrict the fix/workaround to only the ebtables.prerm script, and in that to 1) ignore the invoke-rc.d for ebtables.init, and also 2) ignore 'upgrade-failed' for ebtables versions less than the current version for each release (i.e. hardcode version check in prerm)?
