[01:33] hey all [05:44] Hello. I'm having mice issues. [05:45] u need a cat [05:46] lol [05:47] (My IRL cat has caught one in plain sight. So awesome) [05:47] I can't get the mouse sensitivity to change. [05:48] When I adjust mouse settings, the only thing that does change is the sensitivity. [05:48] doesn't it have a dpi button for sensitivity? [05:49] My mouse yeah. But I also need to adjust it via software. [05:51] I'm using the Logitech Proteus Spectrum. [05:52] But I still can't get enough sensitivity. Hence why I want to adjust it more in Linux. In fact when I turn up the sensitivity slider nothing changes. [05:52] However, ACCELERATION does. [10:13] hi [10:18] Hello [10:29] o/ [11:09] tried to install 18.04, most horrible experience yet. install took over an hour, docking station did not work, multiple crash reports sent. [11:10] tried 17.10, the next day. no problems at all [11:10] anyone experience high cpu during install ? mine was at a average of 97% [11:17] Helllo [11:21] Howdy [11:27] held007: Uhm, I didn't look at the CPU load when I installed it yesterday [11:27] what kind of hardware was that on ? [11:28] old laptop: dell e6400 [11:29] deskwizard: dell e6400 core2duo [11:30] mkay [11:30] verified all hashes after dl and after i wrote to usb [11:31] 17.10 runs like a dream though i was surprised 18.04 did not [11:32] Thats fairly old hardware. My old dell inspirion still has 16.04LTS at the moment. no issues like that on the desktop [11:33] i had no issues with gnome 16.04 lts either [11:37] but cpu's are not getting faster like they used to, they get more cores though =) [11:38] well im off, cant hang around here all day. although i would be fun, have a nice day everybody =) [11:38] s/i/it [14:20] Hello everyone [14:21] hi [14:22] A while ago, when i was struggling with vnc on mate 18.04, someone on this channel suggested to me a software for managing a lot of computers remotely. Can someone tell me the software's name? [14:28] at some point my damn brain will cooperate and remember the one I was using *growl* [14:29] teamviewer. not sure how much it changed since then though [14:29] not sure if that's the one you were looking for, but yeah. [14:31] Nope. It was free and was oriented for big number of computers. [14:34] Ah, sorry [15:20] arwenvd: maybe epoptes.org? === coconut is now known as coconut_aw === coconut_aw is now known as coconut [16:29] I am mostly using Remmina Client and VNC over SSH. Any of these ring a bell https://alternativeto.net/software/teamviewer/ ?
