[00:54] OvenWerks: I went ahead and did a thing: https://launchpad.net/carla [00:56] Eickmeyer: cool. So is it going to stay yours or should it belong to ubuntustudio-dev? [00:57] I can make it ubuntustudio-dev. [00:57] Done. [00:57] as you wish one way or the other, it just means that if you get tired of it you can have someone else take over. [00:57] Yep, true. [01:47] OvenWerks: And now, it's in our autobuilds. [02:18] Eickmeyer: I will see about adding a man page. Are we changing the source directly or using a .debian diff thing? [07:41] hi! [07:42] i'm pretty sure i added you tió the core team Eickmeyer, so you should be able to do everything you need to. I didn't make you owner striahgt away, waiting for returns from the mailing list. [07:43] Eickmeyer: if you need me to talk to someone, just tell me who and i'll do it in an acceptable span of time. [07:44] regarding the website backend, i'v never had other access to it than the WP-admin thingy. for anything else, there is this ticket service... i don't have the URL at hand but that's where you file tickets for the WP backend. [07:45] Eickmeyer: you are part of the core-team, show this to the people you discuss with if they doubt your clearance. [07:46] to be honnest, i was also handed the keys a bit like "voila"... and i know it's hard to get in some places. but i suppose i'm happy about that: i would not feel comfy about this thing if it was easy. [07:47] either way, send me an email with whatever it is you want me to do to facilitate transition. [07:47] I'll be on holliday during all of july so at that point i'll be able to respond very quickly [08:01] ok, i had failed to give you admin persmission Eickmeyer [08:01] i fixed it. PLease don't hesitate to write me personally if you need this kindof assitance. :) <3 [08:03] i'm rarley reading anything public-forum lately, for personal reasons. [08:05] Eickmeyer: found the URL in my brain somehwere under a rock: https://rt.ubuntu.com/ [08:05] this is where you file tickets for the website. [08:07] my experience shows that being very polite and mindfull is the best way to get things done quickly. Although, for the WP theme thing, last time we tried to adress it, it ended up in a loop of "fix this so we can fix this". which ultimately led to abandon [08:12] for reference, here is the thread: https://rt.ubuntu.com/Ticket/Display.html?id=29028 [08:13] hope that helps. And again: do not hesitate to email me to my personal mail if you have any need of assitance. :) [08:15] Happy Tuesday y'all! [16:05] OvenWerks: I've been pulling from the main Github, making changes, then pushing to our repo. So pull from falktx, push to our repo. I can pull from our repo if you make any changes. [16:07] so it effectively becomes a fork rather than just a package? [16:17] Not exactly. More of a branch and rejoin. Git is smart enough not to pull in anything that overwrites what I have done locally. [16:18] It treats anything I pull-in from github as a merge.
