xubuntu24wHi everyone, I have a problem with mouse controls on Xubuntu and I really need some help.14:12
xubuntu24wIn file manager it keeps scrolling up on its own, and in some programs it left clicks continuusly on its own.14:13
xubuntu24wBut in other programs like Mozilla, it works perfectly.14:14
xubuntu24wIf someone can offer any suggestions, I'd appreciate it. :-)14:14
diogenes_xubuntu24w, try a new user first14:15
PiggytaterIs this better? :-)14:17
diogenes_Piggytater, lol you didn't understand, i mean create a new xubuntu user14:17
diogenes_menu > users and groups14:17
diogenes_new user14:17
diogenes_then log out and log in back but with the new user14:18
PiggytaterOh sorry, I'm quite new at this. I'll try it now. Thanks. :-)14:18
PiggytaterI'm back. Tried logging in as another user, made no difference.14:25
PiggytaterStrangely enough, I discovered that it only scrolls up in file manager if I have the files view as compact list.14:26
GridCubePiggytater: tried another mouse?14:28
GridCubesounds like a hardware issue14:28
PiggytaterTried another mouse just now, same thing.14:30
PiggytaterBoth mice work perfect on my Windows 7 partition.14:30
PiggytaterJust now I realized too that when I hover the mouse cursor at the bar above the chat, it continuously alternates between the "Status" and "#xubuntu" tabs.14:33
GridCubeis any of your keyboard keys stuck?14:34
PiggytaterNo, as far as I can tell. I can type with no problem and when I log in at my Windows partition, everything works as good as ever.14:35
PiggytaterOn a whim, I tried just now to disconnect my Wacom tablet, still no difference.14:37

andresgradOk, I installed Xubuntu 18.04 (64 bits) 1 month ago. I'm very happy with it. But I noticed some bugs (or stuff that do not work well on my laptop). They may has a solution. The most anoying is: when i close the lid of my laptop, and the system go to sleep, after that I open the lid, introduce my password, but the screen goes black. I know the system is running, but the screen doesn't show anything.22:42
andresgradWhat I do in that moment is: press the shutdown button once, after that press enter (so the system suspends), then press ESC, putt my password again and I can see my desktop again.22:44
andresgradNevertheless, all the program I had open, are closed.22:44
nomenondo you need it to lock when you close the lid?22:45
