07EABPIB4hi! can i leave there feature request?09:42
Spasshello 07EABPIB4, IRC is not a best place to leave feature requests, but sure you can09:44
Spassyou probably want to leave your feedback where the devs could see it09:45
Spassthis is more of a support channel for users09:45
07EABPIB4Where?09:45
Spassit depends, what's your feature request?09:46
07EABPIB4org.freedesktop.udisks2.loop-modify-others; be present by default     at       /var/lib/polkit-1/localauthority/10-vendor.d/com.ubuntu.desktop.pkla      Because i haved troubles with mounting .ISO polkid asked me passwords..09:48
07EABPIB4I installed the gnome-disk-utils09:49
Spassso it's a feature request for gnome-disk-utils or polkit? anyway, I have no idea how to help with this one, you can wait here a bit for someone more knowledgeable09:55
07EABPIB4Spass: after i ad one thing (org.freedesktop.udisks2.loop-modify-others;) at one line in (/var/lib/polkit-1/localauthority/10-vendor.d/com.ubuntu.desktop.pkla), my trouble with polkit is gone. So i think - everithing working. Just maybe that need to be default options of polkit, to allow sudoers to modify /dev/loop's? Users will no need to manually enter that.10:17
Noob123.11:01
Noob123hello11:01
diogenes_hi11:02
Noob123can I test Xubuntu if I burn the iso on a dvd? like, just test it, not install11:03
flocculantyea - it will be slow though11:04
Noob123meh, I guees it's worth trying, I have a pentium laptop with 4 gb ram and I'm a windows fanboy but I kinda want to get rid of it for something more lightweight11:05
flocculantjust bear in mind the installed setup won't be as slow as the dvd11:06
Noob123yeah but I'm kinda spooked about blindly installing linux for the first time11:07
Noob123like, does it have built-in drivers?11:07
flocculantprobably - not had a situation where something didn't work personally11:07
Noob123do I need to reconfigure my router if I install Xubuntu? idk11:08
flocculantdepends if you've done some arcane thing for windows - probably not11:09
Noob123nope, never touched it11:09
flocculantbest thing to do is burn it and run it - then you'll see if you have issues11:09
Noob123what do you mean "run it"?11:10
flocculantboot with the dvd11:10
Noob123oh yeah sure11:12
Noob123thanks for the help11:12
flocculantno problem11:12
Noob123lmao it's awesome11:21
flocculant:)11:30

mythfingers@Lasso_berg: So I tried the the steps listed in that answer page and ran into a few problems16:06
mythfingers1) apparently fglrx were already dropped or largely non present 2) i don't have a file called /etc/X11/xorg.conf or any "xorg.conf" for that matter. Just a .conf.d with things like "10-radeon.conf" listed inside it.16:08
mythfingers3) the reconfigure I dont think achieved anything new. I still boot into a black screen with a cursor.16:08
mythfingersDmesg said something like "radeon don't has a link to vm" a billion times as the error message16:09
mythfingersUnfortunately I dont have a camera to snap it with, otherwise when I rebooted into this liveusb of antergos, I'd show you the exact text16:10
Sia-hi, why Thunar can't connect to the samba shared folder at home?16:43
Babloyiso is there yet a date for when the official update from 16.04 to 18.04 will e out?17:33
Babloyifound some post saying "in july", but nothing more concrete than that17:36
SpassBabloyi, 18.04.1 should be release July 26th, see here - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BionicBeaver/ReleaseSchedule18:39
Spassafter that you should be able to upgrade from 16.04 LTS18:39
Spass(without forcing it)18:39
Babloyithanks, Spass18:40
Spassno problem, I think some users may see the upgrade dialog couple days after that, to not crowd the servers too much18:41
diogenes_hey guys, where can i find the standalone package for xubuntu variant of xfce4-pulseaudio-panel-plugin, i'd like to install it on other xfce versions18:42
