faLUCE | Hello (18.04). I created a hotspot wi-fi connection on an usb dongle with network-manager (GUI). I can see the hotspot in list, and my android device sees it as well. However, my android device can't connect to it (generic error)... what can I check in order to fix that? thanks | 16:21 |

wxl | faLUCE: you might look at /var/log/syslog | 16:22 |
faLUCE | wxl: http://paste.ubuntu.com/p/npYryMGPh6/ | 16:29 |
wxl | faLUCE: is fe80::c718:8cb9:99de:8f37 the ipv6 of your android? | 16:31 |
faLUCE | wxl: no, it's the mac of the othere wi-fi card (the one which is connected to internet) | 16:33 |
faLUCE | wxl: sorry: it's the ipv6 of the other wi-fi connection (the one which is connected to internet) | 16:34 |
wxl | faLUCE: what device does wlxa0f3c107dc37 describe? the dongle? | 16:34 |
faLUCE | wxl: yes | 16:34 |
wxl | yikes, i have no clue. try wicd and see if you have better luck. | 16:36 |
faLUCE | wxl: it seems that wpa_supplicant is using the dongle | 16:36 |
faLUCE | it should not use it, because it's configured as hotspot | 16:36 |
faLUCE | am I wrong? | 16:37 |
wxl | i would suspect not but i really don't have any experience with doing what you're doing | 16:37 |
wxl | you might want to check in with #ubuntu as this is more of a general question than a lubuntu one. getting more eyes on it might help | 16:37 |
faLUCE | it seems the dev has blacklisted... (??) http://paste.ubuntu.com/p/zc33QZT5tB/ | 16:40 |
