Now when I try to launch an application that is already open in some of the workspaces, rather than opening a new window of the application the existing window is moved from the existing workspace to the cur

This happens when I use alt+F2 to lauch but also when I launch from an xterm or the icon at bottom left. Any suggestions to go back to the previous behavior, and when I lauch an app I get a new window of it?
