Ive tried uninstalling and installing again pulseaudio, I've also tried several commands I've found in different forums such as "pulseaudio -D" and "systemctl --user enable pulseaudio && systemctl --user start pulseaudio" but none of them worked. I have a Intel atom x5-z8350 proccessor on my laptop and I'm using the latest release of lubuntu 64 bit. === pavlushka_ is now known as pavlushka === pavlushka_ is now known as pavlushka === pavlushka_ is now known as pavlushka [18:23] hello [18:23] I have a problem booting to EFI screen [18:24] could you elaborate more? [18:27] yes, picture in first post: https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/other/startup-nsh-uefi-in-oracle-virtualbox-v-5-what-do-i-do-next/ [18:29] in the past I managed to start the GUI manually, but forgot what I did [18:30] that's what you're trying to get to? [18:30] the machine does not boot properly [18:31] rebooted from lubuntu and it booted to this screen [18:31] all I want is to use my machine [18:31] did you check the hashes of the image? [18:31] it is not a new install [18:32] I have rebooted it from a running lubuntu 15minutes ago [18:32] then if it worked before but now doesn't, that's pretty strange [18:35] well yes [18:35] it is [18:35] can you remember how to start GUI manually? [18:35] I googled but no dice [18:39] https://askubuntu.com/questions/566315/virtualbox-boots-only-in-uefi-interactive-shell#573672 maybe [18:40] you didn't switch this from non-EFI to EFI did you? [18:42] not me [18:42] how do you do that? [18:43] you don't want to. doing that would likely cause the problem. [18:43] i'm referring to the guest settings in virtualbox under system. you could always try toggling it and see what happens. [18:44] ok, sorry, forget the original picture, this is my actual screen: https://imgur.com/qsRvOwk [18:44] admin [18:45] I just booted the non-EFI thing in bios and it worked?! [18:46] yeah you probably toggled it before by accident [18:46] go slap yourself on the hand for presenting the pebkac :) [18:47] pebkac???? [18:48] was not in bios anyway?? [18:48] admin [18:48] pebkac = problem exists between keyboard and chair [18:48] let me kill the power, maybe the bios resets? [18:50] no, still working [18:51] i had little hope that it would change itself :) [18:51] mee to [18:51] cause now I'm still somehow a moron :/ [18:52] you're not a moron :) [18:53] you did not have enough time to trully know me [18:53] :) [18:54] true enough [18:54] well, you did save the day, so thanks! [18:58] ok, wxl, love and kisses then [18:58] since you wont give me any :) [18:58] bye === infosociety is now known as NRG385019 [23:05] clear [23:05] Hi, does anyone know how to fix audio on an intel SST audio card?
