Gr33ntea | Hello I installed Ubuntu 18.10 and for some reason, it takes forever to get to the bootscreen then it hangs at the bootscreen for like a minute and then it shows my mouse and the purple login background and then permanently freezes. Any suggestions? my gpu is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 if that matters | 03:11 |

ubottu | A common kernel (boot)parameter is nomodeset, which is needed for some graphic cards that otherwise boot into a black screen or show corrupted splash screen. See http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1613132 on how to use this parameter | 03:15 |

Epx998 | If I am setting up cosmic beta provisioning - do I need to constantly grab the latest initrd.gz and linux files from the netboot directory? I noticed often I get a kernel module mismatch unless I download what is current | 17:00 |
TJ- | Epx998: yes, since the modules in the initrd.img come from the linux-image-$version package the vmlinuz-$version comes from | 17:11 |
