maxcell_hi, i can't run Netflix on kubuntu 18.10, i've installed libavcodec-extra but still can't00:28
keithzg[m]maxcell_: What browser are you using? Netflix does, unfortunately, require DRM support on the browser's side, I believe. I know personally that Google Chrome will work.00:29
maxcell_i'm trying with Chrome and Firefox with DRM active00:30
maxcell_but it doesn't run, it gives an "Unexpected error"00:30
maxcell_i did a simple install of Kubuntu, without openoffice, multimedia and stuff00:31
keithzg[m]Very strange. You've made sure to try with extensions disabled, ex. in incognito mode?00:31
maxcell_i will try it now00:31
maxcell_doesn't work00:32
maxcell_it knows i'm on anonymous mode and gives me an error00:33
maxcell_i will disable all extensions and try again00:33
maxcell_oh my God00:34
maxcell_keithzg[m]: it worked00:34
maxcell_i can't believe00:34
keithzg[m]Oho!00:36
maxcell_seems like Netflix HD (enable full hd videos in browser on linux) are blocked00:38

godzirraHey guys.  I'm running kubuntu 18.10, and I'm trying to get my apple trackpad 2 working with multitouch.  Everything I'm reading seems to say that it should do basic multitouch out of the box, but I can't seem to get it to do two finger scrolling or anything else.  How can I test multitouch for sure, and if it's not working, how can I fix it?13:11
hateballI think there is something about how some touchpads dont play nice with libinput and you need to switch to evdev13:22
hateballalso, is this under X.org or Wayland?13:22
godzirrahateball: It's whatever's default.  I haven't changed from one to the other.  Which -is- default?13:43
godzirraLooks like xorg13:48
godzirrahateball: Do I ust add xserver-xorg-input-evdev and remove xserver-xorg-input-libinput?13:51
hateballgodzirra: I think so14:00
hateballgodzirra: I just remember reading about this stuff, havent actually had to do it myself14:00
godzirraSo apparently xserver-xorg-input-evdev is installed by default.  I just have to figure out how to load that instead of libinput (assuming that's what's loaded)14:01
hateballgodzirra: or maybe it was https://askubuntu.com/questions/1031940/how-to-switch-from-libinput-to-synaptics-in-ubuntu-18-0414:02
godzirralol14:03
godzirraok14:03
hateballsorry for not having a definite answer :p14:03
hateballhard to remember problems I havent had to solve myself14:03
godzirraNo worries... Gives me something to try at least. :)14:03
