[00:28] hi, i can't run Netflix on kubuntu 18.10, i've installed libavcodec-extra but still can't [00:29] maxcell_: What browser are you using? Netflix does, unfortunately, require DRM support on the browser's side, I believe. I know personally that Google Chrome will work. [00:30] i'm trying with Chrome and Firefox with DRM active [00:30] but it doesn't run, it gives an "Unexpected error" [00:31] i did a simple install of Kubuntu, without openoffice, multimedia and stuff [00:31] Very strange. You've made sure to try with extensions disabled, ex. in incognito mode? [00:31] i will try it now [00:32] doesn't work [00:33] it knows i'm on anonymous mode and gives me an error [00:33] i will disable all extensions and try again [00:34] oh my God [00:34] keithzg[m]: it worked [00:34] i can't believe [00:36] Oho! [00:38] seems like Netflix HD (enable full hd videos in browser on linux) are blocked === himcesjf_ is now known as him-cesjf [07:33] Good morning [11:33] 'Morning all [13:11] Hey guys. I'm running kubuntu 18.10, and I'm trying to get my apple trackpad 2 working with multitouch. Everything I'm reading seems to say that it should do basic multitouch out of the box, but I can't seem to get it to do two finger scrolling or anything else. How can I test multitouch for sure, and if it's not working, how can I fix it? [13:22] I think there is something about how some touchpads dont play nice with libinput and you need to switch to evdev [13:22] also, is this under X.org or Wayland? [13:43] hateball: It's whatever's default. I haven't changed from one to the other. Which -is- default? [13:48] Looks like xorg [13:51] hateball: Do I ust add xserver-xorg-input-evdev and remove xserver-xorg-input-libinput? [14:00] godzirra: I think so [14:00] godzirra: I just remember reading about this stuff, havent actually had to do it myself [14:01] So apparently xserver-xorg-input-evdev is installed by default. I just have to figure out how to load that instead of libinput (assuming that's what's loaded) [14:02] godzirra: or maybe it was https://askubuntu.com/questions/1031940/how-to-switch-from-libinput-to-synaptics-in-ubuntu-18-04 [14:03] lol [14:03] ok [14:03] sorry for not having a definite answer :p [14:03] hard to remember problems I havent had to solve myself [14:03] No worries... Gives me something to try at least. :) === himcesjf_ is now known as him-cesjf [17:10] guys how to enable write access on my NTFS drives in Kubuntu? [17:10] I have Win10 and data drive [17:11] Velizar Peshev, go to windows [17:11] disable fast start [17:11] reboot to linux [17:17] I'm on latest Win10 and no fast start option [17:17] damn windows shit [17:18] Velizar Peshev then just simply from windows reboot into linux, also look in bios for fast boot [17:18] disable that too [17:18] here is how to disable it on win 10: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-windows-10-fast-startup [17:19] ah I found it thanks [17:19] nice [17:53] Also disable Windows hibernate and suspend, and delte hiberfil.sys [22:58] Any clues when to expect Plasma 5.12.7 for Kubuntu 18.04? … It has been released 2018-09-25 but still no update in LTS.
