I'm trying to install a .deb package, using dpkg -i. Then, it says that I don't have the dependencies installed, as usually. Then I tried what I generally do, apt-get install -f to fix the dependencies. ... But, it doesn't work, instead of ins [14:16] talling the dependencies, it removed the package that I had installed [14:18] How can I fix this? [14:22] @tadeuscalvin [I was using lubuntu with lxde, and recently I changed to the new version with lx …], Try just `sudo apt install ./FILE.deb` [14:22] Also, this channel is not for support [14:23] @tsimonq2 [Try just sudo apt install ./FILE.deb], Ok. Thanks [14:23] https://telegram.lubuntu.me/support is [14:23] @tsimonq2 [Also, this channel is not for support], Sorry [14:23] @tadeuscalvin [Ok. Thanks], No problem === hggdh_ is now known as hggdh [21:59] I can't make the standup today. [22:00] Copy that. Not sure who will be here. I think Chris and I were the only affirmative replies. [22:01] :( -- but that's [real] life [22:10] Here [22:10] On the train soon so I'll go first [22:10] Sure. [22:11] I've had several tech support phone interviews this week but I'm going to do the automirror changes on Saturday night after work. Other than that still waiting on Wendy for welcome center assets [22:11] Busy but hopeful [22:11] That's s it for me [22:12] Gotcha. Just guiverc and myself here I think. [22:12] Good luck @SamuelBanya [22:14] Jus arrived [22:14] What is new @HMollerCl ? [22:14] December is awfull [22:15] Same here. [22:15] Busy at work. [22:15] closing the year [22:15] End of semester for us. [22:15] on lubuntu side, I'm still working on teh additional driver tab [22:15] I'm almost there but not quite [22:16] Cool. That will be a nice addition. [22:16] I have an issue with threads in Qt, I'm not sure how to handle so when i call ubuntudrivers the app frozes [22:17] ubuntu-drivers-list [22:17] so, need to fix that. [22:18] If anyone know how to do it it would be appreciatide. [22:18] appreciated [22:18] When I'm ready I need testers, currently I have no machine which needs additional driver. [22:19] That's on my side. [22:19] i can work that out for you [22:19] nice! wxl [22:19] i think chris said he had something, too [22:19] most my hardware doesn't use drivers, but I'll keep an eye out HMollerCl [22:20] nothing really to report. i'm still stuck on beginner task, 'arc diff' produces unexpected results, but I finally asked/cried for help but that was too recent to have got response... [22:20] sorry my bad [22:21] not a problem (it was last thing before I went to bed!!! feels like mins ago to me!) [22:21] remind me that later [22:22] as for me been really crazy life-wise, but gotten through a few bugs and such, support stuff, etc. i got a calamares bug that was supposedly fixed but wasn't reopened. still need to boot neon to see how it does with efi/encryption [22:23] Did they get it to work on Neon? [22:24] not sure... which is why i want to see [22:24] if they did, i think i know enough about cala to be dangerous that i could figure out how to apply it to our configure [22:24] s/ure// [22:24] tsimonq2 said he tried to copy their config and it did't work, but that was a wholesale copy [22:24] so it could have been all sorts of other problems [22:26] oh and i did some reorganization to the packaging tutorial so people whine less XD [22:27] It looked good, I read through it again. ^ [22:27] content didn't really change fwiw [22:28] I noticed that but it did have some visual highlights and whatnot. [22:28] right [22:31] You got me curious on the neon thing. I'm downloading it now. I will give it a go in a VM. [22:32] thx :) [22:32] anyone else got anything? [22:41] Busy with Life ™ [22:41] Otherwise not much [22:43] Sounds like we all have the same status right now. [22:43] Unfortunately so. [22:44] It could be that way until Jan [22:44] just as long as it's not that way until april [22:45] Right [23:09] wxl Which one has calamares? It looks like ubiquity on the git stable dev. tried a 19.04 kubuntu too, same. [23:11] kc2bez: git [23:14] I'm downloading the unstable version now. [23:21] Cala there^ but I don't see an encryption option automatically. [23:41] you know what the little encryption checkbox looks like on ours? [23:41] Yes [23:42] I installed it on a legacy boot system. [23:59] i wonder if you do it manually if it has the same effect. i dno't remember if i tested that or not
