Right now, the workaround is to uninstall csladspa, but the version in 18.10 (6.11) and Disco (6.12) has the bug fixed. I need help getting it backported to 18.04. [23:36] -queuebot:#ubuntu-release- New binary: pcl [s390x] (disco-proposed/universe) [1.9.1+dfsg1-2ubuntu1] (no packageset) [23:36] I checked the wiki, but SRU or Sync Request don't exactly fit the mold here. [23:38] tsimonq2: If you're around, you might be able to guide me through this as well. [23:39] that seems like an SRU to me Eickmeyer [23:40] wxl: I agree, but should I attach the debdiff if it's basically a debian import? [23:43] Eickmeyer: i'm not the SRU expert but that's my general feeling [23:44] wxl: Understood. I'm preparing an SRU in a related bug report with links to the Ardour bug reports in question given to me by the Ardour team. [23:44] Eickmeyer: the one thing i *THINK* i'm right about is that sync requests ONLY apply to development releases, while SRUs ONLY apply to stable releases. that said, if you wanted a sync request on a stable release, you'd do an SRU. [23:45] wxl: That's what I figured. [23:45] Eickmeyer: worst case scenario you might have to edit the bug report a bit if i'm a little bit off, but i think you're on the right track [23:49] Eickmeyer: if you want to fix the bug by uploading an entirely new version, i don't think there's much to be gained by attaching a debdiff [23:49] Eickmeyer: in your bug report you should justify why you are doing that rather than just fixing the bugs though [23:51] mwhudson: Agreed. Ardour is a major application with audio production in Ubuntu Studio with a large user base, so I want to make sure the bridge to that community is a good one. [23:52] but this is a new version of csladspa not ardour right? and it's know to work with that older version of ardour?
