[00:43] how do i make firefox (64) use the kde/qt filepicker [00:44] i tried the steps here but now it doesn't show a filepicker at all https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Firefox#KDE/GNOME_integration [00:46] denza242: is up to the app, and firefox uses GTK dialog windows [01:23] denza242: I followed these steps: https://phabricator.kde.org/T10189#171295 [01:23] But Rik may have already backed the change out of the PPA [01:24] Because it can crash Thunder Bird (https://phabricator.kde.org/T10189#171364) [01:26] Chromium will use KDialog (and, of course so will Falkon). [14:16] Happy New Year! [14:39] happy new year too === Lord_of_Life_ is now known as Lord_of_Life [18:46] Hey everyone... I just installed Kubuntu 18.04.1 and got everything set up. I set "Make Caps Lock an additional Super" in the Advanced keyboard layout settings [18:47] I can use Caps Lock to perform multi-key Meta shortcuts now, but I can't just tap the key to make the application launcher appear [18:47] Looks like I'm able to use a real Super key to make the application launcher appear, just not Caps Lock [18:49] I'm just wondering if I should file a bug in some Kubuntu tracker, and if so where and what information would be most helpful [19:00] My guess is that you would be better off filing it upstream [19:00] Alright, can do. Wanted to make sure I wouldn't stomp on any toes doing that. [19:01] https://bugs.kde.org/ I doubt you will step on toes [19:01] For sure... I know that some projects can be weird with downstream projects and etc... [19:02] But I think you may need to be prepared for a WONTFIX or INVALID resolution. For years, there was a question about whether the Super Key is a key on its own or only a modifier key [19:03] If I had to guess where to file your bug, I would use Product kwin Component input [19:11] Awesome. Thank you so much [19:31] Alright, all done. Thank you again. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402764 [19:31] KDE bug 402764 in input "Caps Lock as additional Super does not trigger Alt+F1 shortcut" [Minor,Unconfirmed] [19:39] UnivrslSuprBox: I see the bug report. Looks clear enough to me.
