[08:22] Hey there, someone's here ? [08:33] False: I'm half here, half not - what's up? [08:34] I'm fine, a little tired, but still fine [08:35] And you ? [08:36] Not bad - did you have a support request? [08:36] Yep, honestly [08:37] I have an issue with my graphic tablet . . . [08:53] Well, I think I can't stand anymore [08:55] Let me explain, the stylus of my tablet cover my two screens (screen tablet + normal screen). So I can't really use it at the moment ... [08:55] I don't know if you understand ... [08:56] Still, I'm getting sleepy. I'll come back later, in hopes you'll have a fix for it [11:54] Hi, I'm back. Is there any update with my problem ? [12:59] i don't understand the part where you say the stylus covers two screens [13:00] are you having mirrored display? maybe try setting one display as primary and the other as secondary (left-of, right-of, etc) [13:01] s/secondary/extended/ [13:06] No mirrored display. When I use the stylus on my tablet, the pointer it just stray away to the other screen when I go on the right. As if my main screen was an extended display for the tablet [13:06] I'm not sure it's understandable though :s [13:32] To put it simply, when I'm on the left side of the tablet display the pointer is on the left as the way it should be. But I go on the right side, a gap appears progressively between the stylus and the pointer and finally when I'm on the right side of the tablet with my stylus, the pointer is on the right side of the other display... [18:19] False: have you played around with xsetwacom at all? [18:20] Nope, just with xrandr, without results [18:21] xrandr is for setting your screens. [18:21] Ah, I see . . . [18:21] xsetwacom does have an area command or parameter that sets the limits of the tablet [18:22] Oh, ok [18:22] I'll see what can I do then [18:22] I have never played with it much except for setting buttons. But I don't have constant access to a tablet [18:23] the person who has played with them more would be eylul- [18:24] I see I see [18:25] Thanks for the advice [19:12] Well, I guess this tablet won't work fine since it's not a Wacom. I'll try with another one [19:13] False: there are a number of non-wacom tablets that do work but require kernel drivers installed [19:13] Tell me folks, is the Huion Kamvas GT-191 supported on Cosmic Cuttlefish ? [19:13] ?Ah ? [19:13] the install I could get from the ubuntu repos did not work for me [19:14] none of the huion tablets work out of the box. [19:14] but my son has a Huion (610 I think) and we were able to dl the kernel sourse build and install and it worked [19:17] I see I see, but I'm not a programmer, I don't want to broke my setup ... [19:18] https://digimend.github.io/drivers/ [19:18] i'm not a chef, but i can make pancakes [19:20] The GT-191 is not listed on that page and as it seems you can move the mouse with it right out of the box you may not need extra drivers... not sure [19:20] does libwacom-list-local-devices list your tablet? [19:21] (if it lists any device that is probably your tablet) [19:21] I'll try [19:23] Honestly at first the tablet was just recognized as a secondary screen, it's after I've downloaded the Digimend driver that I managed to make the stylus. I'll try the commond right now [19:26] The command had no effect ... [19:27] after you installed digimend, did you reboot? I know I had to. [19:27] xsetwacom list devices [19:27] may show something too. [19:28] Neither [19:29] I'm going to reboot maybe you're right [19:36] All right, I'm back, and rebooting had no effect ... [19:37] Ok, I guess I am out of ideas at this point. [19:38] you might try in #ubuntu as there are a lot more users there [19:38] Also maybe try emailing the guys at digimend [19:39] Ok [19:39] I tried to sign up to ubuntu forums, but it didn't work too [19:40] Anyway, thanks for the help, I'll try with my old wacom tablet [19:40] ok
