[00:06] Hi, guys. Last night I installed kubuntu-18.04, and today I woke up with a dead computer. Was going to throw it and buy a new one [00:06] Switched on and no video signal, no other signs of life except the fan. [00:06] After hours of trying, I came with the idea of googling for ubuntu bios corrupt after installation, and found that it happens with some computers since version 17. [00:07] That's to tell you friends, and to press on developers to warn people that with some computers the bios could become corrupted. [00:08] The prob. is really annoying. I was going to order a new pc since I couldn't determine if it's fault of video card, cpu, motherboard, or psu. === JonathanD is now known as JonathanS === mkv is now known as m4v === Mrokii_ is now known as Mrokii [07:19] Hello guys, I'm new to KDE. I actually likes it, but it seems to be a bit buggy. Currently I'm running Kubuntu. Would there any chance that Neon is better? [11:44] HaMsTeRs, you expect someone to tell you that neon is better on kubunru channel? [11:48] HaMsTeRs: Can you describe why it is 'a bit buggy'? Neon is using newer packages, which are usually less tested that those on Kubuntu. Hence Neon might be buggier than Kubuntu. [11:50] also neon guys don't really care about security [11:51] there have been many reports of security holes [13:00] Howdy folks === Roey is now known as EvilRoey{- === mkv is now known as m4v === Lord_of_Life_ is now known as Lord_of_Life [17:16] Is there a way to make kscreen use a specific resolution for a monitor?
