lubot<HMollerCl> @SamuelBanya [Like the fn button is lit green on my ThinkPad], at least on my lenovo you can change the way F2 keys behave in the bios/uefi. The default is you must press Fn to make them work as Fx, but ypu can change that00:04
lubot<SamuelBanya> I somehow locked it in so I'm cool with it. Fn key with the actual button is kinda annoying00:05
lubot<SamuelBanya> I guess it helps people who want to do macros00:05

lubot<SamuelBanya> Meeting today ?22:09
lynorianI don't know22:14
guiverco/   (if held)22:14
lynorianI have much more work on the manual like always22:15
lynorianI also have noticed k3b isn't in 19.04 daily I installed22:15
kc2bezo/ Here now. Was out clearing snow, just got in.22:31
lubot<HMollerCl> o/22:33
lubot<SamuelBanya> Here22:41
lubot<HMollerCl> my 5 cents, Here is the notifier + upgrader. If anyone wants to test it, depends on update-notifier-common and aptdaemon https://github.com/hmollercl/lubuntu-update-notifier22:41
lubot<HMollerCl> need to manualy launched or croned.22:42
lubot<HMollerCl> that's what I have for thsi week.22:42
kc2bezI will try to give it a go in a VM when I get a chance.22:43
kc2bezThat is awesome @HMollerCL !22:44
lubot<SamuelBanya> So just as an update, I'm feeling a ton better healthwise. New job has been awesome so far, doing customer support for law and finance clients and am actively thinking how to automate some of the work with selenium and python which work is totally cool with letting me install unlike my last job. Anyway I've been back on track in t22:44
luboterms of dev learning so I'll work on the welcome center today aka once a week after work cause I've scheduled each day 2 hours of tech learning after work (mon: python books, tues: python projects, wed: c++ book and qt YouTube tutorials, Thurs: Lubuntu welcome center, Fri: html + css and js for my website.22:44
lubot<SamuelBanya> That being said I'm happy to be back on track22:45
lubot<SamuelBanya> That's it for me22:45
lubot<SamuelBanya> I'll pm the new ux guy for the welcome center design as well.22:46
lubot<SamuelBanya> I'll include that manual page link change tonight as well lynorian22:46
kc2bezTrying to get back in the swing of things myself after the holidays.22:46
lubot<SamuelBanya> Has everyone been healthy?22:47
kc2bezI did a change to the users and groups page in the manual lynorian22:47
lubot<SamuelBanya> That east coast cold has sucked ha22:47
lubot<SamuelBanya> *sickness22:47
lubot<SamuelBanya> Nice22:47
kc2bezI don't think phab is sending emails22:47
lubot<SamuelBanya> Like automatic ones?22:47
kc2bezYeah22:48
lubot<SamuelBanya> Hmm I'll check my mutt later and see if I got any lubuntu emails as well22:48
lubot<SamuelBanya> Hans how do I test that Btw ?22:49
lubot<SamuelBanya> Can you remind me where I can find a testing guide or do I need to run it in a vm?22:49
kc2bezWell, for me any change to a task I am subscribed to I get an email. I know Hans ubdated T166 but I didn't get anything.22:50
lubot<HMollerCl> @SamuelBanya [Hans how do I test that Btw ?], Download/clone22:51
lubot<HMollerCl> The readme file should be enough to understand22:51
lubot<HMollerCl> There are only pyqt scripts22:51
lubot<HMollerCl> If the readme it's not enough, let me know22:52
lubot<SamuelBanya> Ok would you like me to do it in a vm as a testing environment?22:55
lubot<SamuelBanya> And under the latest nightly release?22:55
wxl^^ @teward001 that may be our confirmation that email is indeed not working on phab22:56
lubot<HMollerCl> @SamuelBanya as you which, only dependencies not necessary present in lubuntu are aptdaemon and update-notifier-common23:01
lubot<HMollerCl> Both are part of Ubuntu and can be installed with apt23:01
wxltheoretically it should work in anything but it would be best to test on cosmic or dingo, i'd thing, since they come with all the qt stuff already23:02
lubot<SamuelBanya> wxl: I was wondering if I could pm you sometime next week to ask about automation ideas cause I need a second person to vet my ideas with to apply dev stuff to my work stuff23:02
lubot<SamuelBanya> Cosmic and dingo it is23:02
lubot<SamuelBanya> Will test later Hans my dude23:02
wxlsure, any time23:02
lubot<SamuelBanya> Sick thanks. I have so many ideas but need a second person to vet em. Appreciate it23:03
wxlone thing though: a pm is going to be difficult between telegram and irc XD23:05
wxlmight want to get on irc and do it that way. better yet use my matrix user and it'll ping my phone, too23:06

wxlwell, i haven't done much of anything (still) but the clouds are lifting. work's pretty stable and family things are settling, too. i will admit to binging maniac on netflix this week, though. :) simon's out for exams so if anyone needs anything, grab me.23:17
wxlanyone else?23:24
guiverci've nothing to say; looking at HMollerCL's notifier+updater right now23:25
lubot<SamuelBanya> I'm thinking to try emacs this weekend ha.23:26
lubot<SamuelBanya> On a side note23:26
lubot<SamuelBanya> Church of vim23:26
lubot<SamuelBanya> That aside23:26
wxlmight want to use "evil"23:26
lubot<SamuelBanya> Lol23:26
wxlnot kidding23:26
wxlhttps://github.com/emacs-evil/evil23:26
lubot<SamuelBanya> Where is the lxqt configuration center located in /usr/bin23:26
wxlor you might try spacemacs which has it built in along with a bunch of other stuff23:26
wxli believe it is but you can use which/whereis commands 23:27
lubot<SamuelBanya> Yeah I was gonna say is spacemacs worth it23:27
lubot<SamuelBanya> But thing is23:27
lubot<SamuelBanya> Think about what's installed on most servers23:27
lubot<SamuelBanya> Either vim and emacs ya know23:27
lubot<SamuelBanya> Btw: Samuel Banya: ... Where is the lxqt configuration center located in /usr/bin23:27
wxlmost servers? probably vi.23:27
wxlvi is incredibly usable even without a real keyboard23:27
wxlsee above23:27
lubot<SamuelBanya> I'm updating the welcome center23:28
lubot<SamuelBanya> I tried whereis23:28
lubot<SamuelBanya> But I don't even know it's smallest name23:28
lubot<SamuelBanya> Like without the spaces23:28
lubot<SamuelBanya> I'm in bin but I don't see anything in the lxqt section23:28
wxllxqt-config something i believe23:28
lubot<SamuelBanya> Got it just now too23:30
lubot<SamuelBanya> Thanks for double checking23:30
lubot<SamuelBanya> Just checked with w3m real quick23:30
lubot<SamuelBanya> Appreciate the response23:30
wxlyou used w3m to search your filesystem?23:31

lubot<SamuelBanya> Hey guys where do you want the community link to go to in the welcome center ?23:39
lubot<SamuelBanya> I know Wendy had a grander plan for this section23:39
wxlgotta jet. catchya l8r23:39
kc2bezI deploy chaos routinely at work so I get it :P23:40
lubot<SamuelBanya> But I wanted to know what community page is more relevant23:40

guivercHMollerCl: upgrader provides me a nice window telling me "no more upgrades; restart required" .. issue with notifier (maybe related to my need to reboot) -- coming..23:49
tewardkc2bez: wxl: right-o, mail *should* start working again...23:51
