[02:34] hello === brainwash_ is now known as brainwash [07:21] https://askubuntu.com/q/1109302/21005 [07:23] jarnos, and? [08:05] Hi everyone ! [08:06] hi [08:20] exit [08:20] quitting irc is worse than vim :( [08:20] vim is ok [08:21] yeah who tought of :WQA! instead of ctrl c or escape... [08:21] but hey you get used to it at least [08:22] that's right, everything needs skills and knowledge [09:59] hi guys has anyone used 18.10 and xscreensaver? [09:59] kiwilinux: no one has [10:00] what do you actually want to know? [10:03] I installed it but found to unlock i needed to for example ctrl + f6 then back to ctrl + f7 to wake up the screen again [10:03] intel graphics? [10:05] it sounds like bug 1801609 [10:05] bug 1801609 in xorg-server (Ubuntu) "Fails to deactivate dpms off mode after user initiated wake-up events(not system-suspended, just locked and dpms active)" [Undecided,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1801609 [10:06] yet this one was only confirmed for light-locker [10:06] yes intel graphics use a toshiba laptop [10:07] then you should read through the report [10:07] ok makes sense I think light-locker wakes up first then wake xscreensaver [10:08] thanks I'll read it. [10:08] but why did you keep light-locker? [10:09] haven't tried removing it so i'll see what happens. [10:09] okay [10:09] well, you did not mention that the unlock screen is still the light-locker one [10:10] instead of xscreensaver [10:12] cheers thanks for the help [10:12] signing out for a reboot [10:16] only issue xscreensaver and lightdm dont mix together that well [10:18] right [10:19] you could try the new xfce4-screensaver from this PPA https://launchpad.net/~xubuntu-dev/+archive/ubuntu/experimental [10:20] more info here: [10:20] https://bluesabre.org/2018/10/15/xfce-screensaver-0-1-0-released/ [10:26] cheers was just looking at the git hub for it. Great to know there's a ppa for it. [10:35] kiwilinux: you may need to add "xfce4-screensaver-command --lock" to /usr/bin/xflock4 (or a copy of that file in /usr/local/bin/) [10:40] cheers i'll try it === MintSpider|AFK is now known as MintSpider [20:05] hello, i installed xubuntu 18.04.
